Updated 8/14 WWE Smackdown lineup: CM Punk & Kevin Owens to appear one week ahead of title showdown – POST Wrestling

Three championship bouts, along with a few high-profile encounters have been confirmed for tomorrow night’s episode of WWE Smackdown.

Tomorrow’s show, live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, will see Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and #1 contender Kevin Owens appear just one week before they face off in a title clash. We’ll be able to hear final comment from them both before they appear on next week’s show in Toronto with the title on the line.

Elsewhere on the card, rivals Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are also expected to show up. Rhodes has been chasing down Orton ever since he attacked him at Summerslam, costing him a win in a world title showdown.

Three title matchups are expected for tomorrow’s card, as well. Newly-crowned U.S. champ Baron Corbin will look to defend his title for a second week in a row, facing off against long-time midcard contender Carmelo Hayes. On the women’s side of the U.S. title picture, Fatal Influence leader Jacy Jayne will challenge defending champ Tiffany Stratton.

Tag champs R-Truth and Damian Priest will put their titles on the line in a three-way. The MFT duo of Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga, now led by WWE Hall of Famer Haku, will be in action, as will current AAA tag champs the Viking Raiders.
