Tributes to PAC (Benjamin Satterley) begin to flood in from the pro wrestling world – POST Wrestling
Tributes have begun to pour in from across the professional wrestling world following the untimely death of Benjamin Satterley, better known as PAC, at the age of 40.
AEW announced Satterley’s death on Sunday, one day after he competed at All Out in the Chicago area. No cause of death has been announced.
AEW President Tony Khan wrote:
Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.
AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, who shared the ring with PAC on numerous occasions, described his fellow Englishman as a hero and one of the country’s greatest wrestling exports.
The greatest export from our country.
Also the greatest human being.
Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times.
You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.

One of the most personal memories came from Nick Wayne, who recalled approaching PAC after his match against Ospreay at All Out in 2024.
At All Out 2024 when PAC faced Ospreay, I told him after the match “That was very inspiring for someone like me to watch, I hope to one day be as good as you, man.”
He smiled, thanked me and said “Awh Nick, you’re gonna be better than me someday.”
For the next 2 years, the conversations, advice, and positive thoughts going into things is something I always cherished.
To have someone that inspired me so heavily have so much belief in me, I almost couldn’t believe that it was HIM saying these thing to me.
PAC is one of the greatest innovators and Professional Wrestlers to ever do it.
Mustafa Ali, who worked extensively alongside Satterley during WWE’s cruiserweight era, remembered PAC looking after the other wrestlers in the division and standing up for them behind the scenes.
Long live the King.
Ben protected and took care of the cruiserweight brothers every week. I will never forget his kindness.
I will never forget the feeling of realizing he is the absolute best all around performer I have been in the ring with.
I will never forget him standing up to the machine.
I will never forget our King.

Former AEW wrestler Saraya focused on Satterley’s personality away from the ring.
F*ck man.. this is terrible. For everyone that knew Ben (pac) would tell you what an incredible human he was. Truly one of the best.
This is heartbreaking.. sending so much love to his family and everyone else who was lucky enough to know him personally and to all who got to watch him perform and witness the greatness that was that man.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman reacted with disbelief before remembering Satterley as both a performer and a person.

Kyle Fletcher said PAC had been one of his favorite wrestlers before the two became colleagues in AEW. Fletcher wrote that he had been fortunate not only to meet and work with one of his heroes, but to get to know him personally.
Fletcher described Satterley as a better man than he could have hoped and said he was heartbroken by his death.
TJP, another of PAC’s former WWE cruiserweight colleagues, described Satterley as one of the kindest people and most giving performers he had encountered.
He shared a photograph of the pair and explained that he had recently come across it again and intended to repost it as a memory, but had repeatedly put it off.
RJ City wrote about the respect Satterley commanded among his peers and his commitment to professional wrestling. He concluded: “Forever loved, forever respected. What a fucking Bastard.”
Josh Alexander revealed that he had spoken to Satterley at All Out after recently telling a colleague that he considered PAC “the best of us all.”
Alexander said he made a point of telling Satterley that conversation and reminding him how highly he regarded him. He expressed gratitude that he had done so, adding that PAC’s kindness and humility were as impressive as his talent.
Tributes also came from Japan. Shingo Takagi, who shared the ring with PAC during their years in Dragon Gate and again more recently, expressed disbelief at his death and his respect for Satterley as a professional.
Others posting messages included Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Sheamus, Christopher Daniels, Danhausen, Brandi Rhodes and Evil Uno, with many more sure to follow.
