WWE Will Let Fans Choose One Of WWE 2K27’s Cover Stars

It might still be six months away, but WWE has revealed the first detail about its next video game, and it’s a big deal. The company has announced that fans are being given the opportunity to choose the cover star for one of the editions of WWE 2K27. There are a couple of caveats, though, to make sure not just anyone ends up gracing the cover and to ensure WWE makes a little money out of the new idea.

Club WWE Members Get To Decide

The announcement that fans will have a say in who one of the WWE 2K27 cover stars will be comes via a new press release. Club WWE is a new subscription service – which costs $99 a year – that gets fans access to live event tickets early, the chance to buy exclusive merchandise, and now the chance to vote on who makes one of the covers of WWE 2K27.

If you’re a Club WWE member, voting for who you want to see grace the cover of WWE 2K27 has already begun. As noted above, you can’t vote for just anyone. If you were about to sign up for Club WWE in the hope that you might get The Gobbledygooker or Glacier on there, bad luck. They, unsurprisingly, are not listed among the eight options fans have to choose from.

Who Can You Vote For?

The eight options fans have been presented with are Fatal Influence (presumably all three of them), Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, Stephanie Vaquer, Sol Ruca, Penta, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams. Quite the mixed bag, and perhaps a glimpse into the future when it comes to wrestlers WWE has big plans for, as any one of them could end up on the cover of a video game that is still at least six months away.

This vote also confirms that, much like WWE 2K26, WWE 2K27 will have multiple editions to choose from. There were four of them this year, a move that some criticized, especially since the most expensive, the Monday Night War edition, cost $149.99, more than twice as much as the base standard edition of the game.

WWE has not clarified which version of the game the fan-voted Superstar will be on the cover of. Almost certainly not the standard edition, since that is reserved for each year’s leading cover star. Interesting that wrestlers like Breakker and Femi are included in the fan vote, as that presumably means they aren’t being considered for the premiere cover star slot.
