Rey Fenix Believes Current Version Of Perros del Mal Is The Weakest He’s Ever Seen
Rey Fenix spoke candidly about Perros del Mal.
The Perros del Mal faction was brought back into the fold under WWE’s presentation of Lucha Libre AAA. The current iteration of the group consists of Daga, Angel, Berto, and Karmen Petrovic.
The group was discussed by Rey Fenix during his appearance on La Razón de México (translation by Fightful’s Luis Pulido). He said he was surprised to see the faction brought back into the fold. He went on to add that it is the weakest version of the group and it does not move him or his brother Penta.
“I have great respect for the Perros del Mal as a faction. I had the opportunity to face Pedro (Perro Aguayo Jr.) and the original Perros del Mal: Halloween, Bestia, Damián, Nicho el Millonario (Psicosis), Joe Líder, and even when Penta and Daga were around. I’m going to be completely honest with you: This current (version) is the weakest version of Perros del Mal that I have seen. It’s true. From Perros del Mal’s inception to today, 2026, this version with Daga, Berto, and (Ángel) Garza is the weakest. It doesn’t move me or my brother at all because we’re two wrestlers who’ve faced the best version of the Perros del Mal. I understand my brother’s response to the Perros del Mal; obviously, he wasn’t going to get in with them. I know the love and respect my brother has for Pedro and for the faction, but it’s not something he needs right now. Perros tried to play dirty, but they didn’t know my brother has strong backing. Maybe we haven’t spent as much time working together in recent years, but that doesn’t mean our closeness and our love don’t keep us together. Accompanied by Dragon Lee, a great wrestler and a great friend, we saw this play out this weekend at Ola de Calor, where it was made clear who was better. Anyways, I was surprised by the return of the Perros del Mal, but in my opinion, this is the weakest version of the Perros del Mal in their entire history.”
Bronco Nima was part of the relaunched Perros del Mal, but he was kicked out of the faction. Nima is now a part of the ‘946’ group in WWE with Royce Keys and Lucien Price.
