Royce Keys’ New Group Is Hiding a Secret Member Who Will Change Everything

When Royce Keys first signed with WWE, fans were excited to see him live up to his full potential, which wasn’t reached as Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW. Sadly, what we got instead was a lackluster Royal Rumble debut, followed by him bizarrely disappearing for months, just to return as a bland babyface. Then came a change. After being destroyed by Jacob Fatu so viciously in a Raw match that he had to be taken out on a stretcher, Keys returned as a heel. He wasn’t alone. With NXT’s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price by his side, the new faction, known as the 946, ran through everyone in their path, especially the Usos. It has been a great reinvention for Keys, and it might only be the beginning. We think the group is about to grow with an exciting twist of a new member.

The 946 Gives WWE Raw a Jolt of Something New and Fresh

  • Raw has gotten better with LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, and The Vision given new directions.
  • Royce Keys was a boring babyface on SmackDown.
  • After being viciously attacked by Jacob Fatu, Keys turned heel and formed his own faction.

WWE has been struggling this year creatively. After the awful attendance numbers for SummerSlam, it feels like Triple H and TKO are finally starting to listen by putting more effort into their storylines. Raw, in particular, has gotten better, with LA Knight given a main event push, Solo Sikoa turned into a hilarious babyface, and The Vision becoming dominant. Then there’s what happened a few weeks ago with Royce Keys.

Keys was a bore on SmackDown, with little to do outside of Jacob Fatu bothering him about joining the Bloodline. On a Raw match, Fatu beat the holy heck out of Keys, leading to the new WWE star being stretchered out. Was this more bad booking or did WWE have a plan? It thankfully turned out to be the latter. Sick of waiting for his turn, and angered by being outnumbered, Keys took matters into his own hands, showing up at the end of Raw a couple of weeks ago with Lucien Price and Bronco Nima to lay waste to everyone they saw. In an era of predictability, WWE delivered something new and exciting no one saw coming.

The Usos and Jacob Fatu Are Working Against the 946

  • The Usos need other opponents besides LA Knight and Solo Sikoa.
  • Jacob Fatu showed a lot of anger after the 946 attacks.
  • On the latest Raw, Fatu was suddenly telling the Usos to trust him and stay calm.

With Roman Reigns now a part-timer who misses most weeks, The Usos and Jacob Fatu need something to do besides fight with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa on a weekly basis. The now christened 946 (Oakland, California’s area code) gives them just that in a compelling three on three battle which has seen the 946 get the best of them backstage, while lighting a fire under the weakened Fatu, who last week was raging and dropping the F-bomb in a promo.

But then came the September 7 Raw. In a backstage segment, Jimmy and Jey Uso were the ones angry and wanting to get even with the 946 immediately. It was Jacob Fatu of all people who tried to calm them down by telling the Usos to trust him and wait. At the end of the show, they stood in the ring and called out the 946, who responded by burning their car in the parking lot. Before this, as the Usos got worked up, Jacob Fatu was calm and shaking his head. How did he go from dropping F-bombs one week to showing so little emotion the next?

Look for Jacob Fatu To Join the 946 and Leave the Bloodline

  • Jacob Fatu was forced to join the Bloodline after losing to Roman Reigns.
  • Fatu and Keys were once shown to be respected friends.
  • Fatu will notice the change in Keys and want to side with him to get away from his family.

Jacob Fatu was so calm because he is working with the 946. It’s a great twist angle and also one that makes sense. Fatu had gotten away from his family and was thriving on his own. He took the fight to Roman Reigns, standing up to the OTC and challenging him. When he lost, he was forced to join the Bloodline. Although he does as he’s told, the Samoan Werewolf isn’t always happy. See a few weeks ago when he attacked Solo Sikoa, only to be reprimanded by Reigns, who told him not to get involved. When LA Knight and Sikoa then got the best of Reigns and the Usos, Fatu stood there and did nothing.

Fatu doesn’t want to be in the Bloodline. He’s doing so out of duty. Royce Keys was his true friend. He turned on him, beating the weakness out of the former Powerhouse Hobbs. That beating fueled Keys and turned him into someone to be feared. It may have angered Fatu at first, but he respects it. Roman Reigns and the Usos are weak in Jacob’s eyes. Royce Keys is strong and leading a fight that he’s winning. He wants to be in on it. With Royce Keys and the 946, Jacob Fatu can be paired with his friend and take down the Bloodline. It’s the only way he’ll truly be free to be himself again. Any week now, when the Usos turn their backs, the Samoan Werewolf will attack.
