On the August 12 edition of AEW Dynamite, Adam Page & Brodido attempted to celebrate their victory of the AEW World Trios Championships… only for Swerve Strickland to return for the first time since Forbidden Door 2026 to spoil the party. Strickland ran down each member of the brand new champions, reminding them of their respective losses to Strickland in the past, and reminding Page of the fact that his loss at Revolution 2026 meant that he could never challenge for the AEW World Championship again.

Although Ricochet & The Demand would interrupt the segment to issue their intention of taking back the AEW World Trios Titles, it is clear that the path in the next few weeks will see issues rise between Strickland, Page, Bandido & Brody King. During the segment, Ricochet reminded us all that Strickland was in the ring with the AEW World Trios Champions but did not have two teammates by his side.
