Tyler Breeze confirms he is no longer under WWE contract – POST Wrestling
Mattias Clement, aka Tyler Breeze, confirmed he is a free agent.
As fans reacted to Austin Creed’s debut in AEW, along with Kofi, as part of The New Level, they talked about how Creed would be reuniting with Adam Cole and Claudio Castagnoli. That began a discussion about WWE Games, which brought up Breeze, who fans believed still was working with WWE.
Breeze confirmed he was not, and he later outright said, “I was under a deal with WWE. Not anymore.” He also admitted he would love to be part of AEW.

After his release in 2021, Breeze revealed he was working as a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center and that he re-joined Creed’s UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, which kept him under contract with WWE. In 2025, Breeze began work as a writer for NXT, and he made a surprise television appearance to face Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Homecoming.
Breeze has made sporadic independent appearances, even while serving as a co-host for UpUpDownDown and co-running a wrestling school, Flatbacks Wrestling, with Shawn Spears.
