Kenny Omega Aiming To Win IWGP Title At Tokyo Dome

Kenny Omega wants the belt at The Dome.

After Kenny Omega’s surprise appearance at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, it has been made official that on November 3rd at Power Struggle, Omega, Oleg Boltin, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji will clash in a three-way non-title match.

If Omega secures the win, he will get a shot at Tsuji’s title. Following his appearance at King of Pro-Wrestling, Omega spoke to reporters (via Tokyo Sports). He made it clear that he wants to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the Tokyo Dome.

“Japan is my second home, so I want to win the belt in front of New Japan fans, and that deserves the biggest stage of all. So, of course, I’m aiming for the Dome.”

Wrestle Kingdom 21 is scheduled to take place on January 4th, 2027. Omega last held the IWGP Heavyweight Title in 2019. He dropped the belt to Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Tokyo Dome.
