Chad Gable Reflects On WWE Raw Match With Rey Fenix – Fightful

Chad Gable celebrates his match with Rey Fenix.

This week’s episode of WWE Raw featured another Intercontinental Championship match, as Chad Gable defended his title against Rey Fenix. Despite facing Fenix’s best efforts, Gable was able to escape from the match with his belt.

Taking to Instagram, Chad Gable praised Rey Fenix for overdelivering in the match.

“Last night — once again, I felt ALIVE. I tasked Rey Fenix to bring a version of himself no one has ever seen last night to compete against me and try to take my Intercontinental Championship. He over-delivered. He brought a visceral kind of fight to me that I find myself craving every time I’ve stepped in the ring since I won the title. I want to thank both Rey Fenix and the live crowd in Bossier City for giving me your absolute everything last night. See you down the road, amigo. Also, my face looks like pounded, mangled meat today… and my wife scheduled family portraits for tonight. And no, I’m not kidding.”

Since winning the title at SummerSlam, Chad Gable has also defended against names like Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee.
