QT Marshall Defends Steven Borden From Lack Of Training – Fightful
Steven Borden suffered a scary injury at AEW All Out that caused his tag team match to be stopped. Borden performed a springboard across the ring, trying to meet in the middle with Kevin Knight, but crashed hard to the mat and was seemingly knocked out.
The camera cut away, and Borden was taken away on a stretcher. AEW updated fans later in the night to inform them that Borden was taken to the hospital and was doing okay.
Eric Bischoff gave his opinion on his 83 Weeks podcast, questioning why Borden was allowed to do the spot and saying, “He actually shouldn’t even be wrestling on TV yet. He’s a deer in the headlights. You have to learn, you have to gain experience, you have to develop the confidence, not just memorize what you do in the ring.”
When asked about his son Garett Bischoff and his experience before he was wrestling on TNA TV, Eric replied, “Garett spent 3 years training, and worked as referee before ever having a match”
QT Marshall responded by defending Borden’s experience, saying, “Not sure of the context but Steven has been training since 2024. Did a camp with us and then trained with Darby/NJPW Dojo. Did independents and dark matches. Just because he’s not publicly documenting his training/every event he works on, doesn’t mean he’s not putting in work.”
