Raoni Barcelos Gives Update After Scary Stoppage At UFC Fight Night
Raoni Barcelos gives an update on his condition.
The main event between Barcelos vs Raul Rosas Jr. at UFC Fight Night on Saturday was stopped early in the fifth round when Rosas landed what looked to be a harmless takedown, but Barcelos seemed to go unconscious with Rosas on top and improving his position.
Barcelos was stretched out of the arena and taken to the hospital.
On social media, Raoni Barelos posted a video of himself still in the hospital, speaking to fans.
“I wanted to send you all a message to let you know that I’m okay. I’m doing very well, and I’m getting all the necessary tests done here at the hospital.
Man, I gave everything I had inside that cage. Like I said before, the only way I was leaving that cage was being carried out and that’s how it ended up happening. It wasn’t the way I wanted it to go. I wanted to become champion and leave with the victory, but God knows everything.
So, on to the next one. I’m here, I’m okay, and I’ll be back. I’ll come back stronger.”
