The Wrestling World Reacts To The Sudden Passing Of AEW’s Pac

AEW broke the tragic news that Benjamin Satterley, better known to wrestling fans by his AEW ring name Pac, has passed away at the age of 40. In the hours since, tributes to the British wrestler have been pouring in from every corner of the industry as the awful news begins to spread.

Wrestlers React To The Passing Of Pac

The AEW Twitter account was the first to share the news of Pac’s passing. “Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans,” the post announcing Pac’s death reads.

AEW’s Anna Jay was actually streaming live on Twitch when the news broke. In the clip, you can see Jay check her phone and go quiet. She then leaves the room, returns a few seconds later, and informs her fans that she has to end the stream early as something has come up. Jay is visibly shaken and says she’s struggling to breathe before ending the stream.

Jay wasn’t the only one who was speaking to fans when the news broke. Marina Shafir was competing shortly after she found out Pac had passed away and addressed the audience, although she struggled to find the right words. Shafir sat on the turnbuckle and spoke to fans, admitting that she didn’t know what to do, likely having been told Pac had passed literally moments earlier.

Enzo Amore, a man with whom Pac shared the screen a lot when the two of them feuded over the Cruiserweight Title in WWE, has also shared how heartbroken he is upon hearing the news. “My best friend has passed on, I am absolutely in shock. My prayers are with his wife and family. Ben, I love you,” Amore tweeted shortly after the news broke.
