Adam Copeland is officially set to face off against a former TNA champion at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Northern Rising pay-per-view.

On this week’s episode of MLP Mayhem, Steve Maclin responded to Copeland and accepted his Northern Rising challenge. The PPV is being held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. Performing at this venue, which was formerly known as the Maple Leaf Gardens, will be a bucket-list moment for Copeland, who recently wrestled at two other dream venues in Arena Mexico and Wembley Stadium.

“Adam Copeland, you just can’t seem to keep my name out of your mouth on social media,” Maclin said while addressing Copeland’s challenge. “So if you want to do this, and you really want to do this, Northern Rising, October 3– I’ll see you then. If not, maybe before.”

The build to this match has included Maclin, an American, calling Canadian wrestling a “feeder system” and questioning why legends like Copeland always leave to find stardom in the United States.

Maclin is currently a free agent after being granted his release from TNA Wrestling this June. He is a former TNA World Champion and International Champion.

Adam Copeland set for PPVs on back-to-back weekends —

Copeland’s MLP debut at Northern Rising is happening one week after AEW All Out 2026, where he and Christian Cage will defend their AEW Tag Team titles against The Young Bucks and FTR in a three-way ladder match. Copeland & Cage are coming off a successful defense over the Bucks at All In.

Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois is hosting All Out on September 26.
