Cruz Montana addresses Zilla Fatu.
The main event of the August 11th WWE NXT on The CW was Cruz Montana versus Grayson Waller. The winner would go on to challenge for the NXT Championship at the Heatwave Premium Live Event on August 30th.
As Montana was about to put Waller away, Zilla Fatu stormed the ring and went after both wrestlers. Fatu then stared down the NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, who was on commentary.
After Fatu’s arrival, Montana guest appeared on Complex Graps and shared his thoughts about what happened with Fatu.
“Like you said, I had it in the bag. That number one contendership was mine, and when I first stepped through the doors of NXT, I made a statement and I made my intentions loud and clear… Zilla (Fatu) just did the same thing, and I gotta give props where they’re due. The only unfortunate thing for him is now he made it personal, and now we gonna have to handle business. That’s just the way it is.”
As of this writing, there is no update on the NXT Title situation for Heatwave.
