You have been warned!We’re inching closer to AEW All In, and Will Ospreay is confronted with multiple ghosts from his past on AEW Dynamite. Ospreay is confronted by Don Callis ahead of his match with Kenny Omega, reminding him of his past while prepping for his future.

It’s another action-packed card, as Nick Wayne, MJF, and Speedball Mike Bailey compete for the #2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match, and Jay White faces David Finlay will compete for a position in the AEW Continental Challenge Cup. Persephone and Hikaru Shida team up to face Thunder Rosa and Maya World, and Kris Statlander faces Viva Van.

Here Are Your Key Moments From AEW Dynamite For August 12, 2026

• Will Ospreay opens the show tonight and asks the crowd if they’ve lost any money. Ospreay says he had the privilege of being in Arena Mexico last week, and he was honored to wrestle there. He tells the story of his grandfather dying prior to last year’s match in Mexico, and he becomes emotional discussing it. Ospreay says he’s got a certain responsibility while wrestling for AEW and he has to give his all, every single time. He says that he had his Street Fight 25 days before his match at All In because he’s there to set an example. He says he knows Kenny Omega was watching from home, and he knows Omega knows what he’s bringing to London. Ospreay demands Omega grace the crowd with his presence, but instead, Don Callis appears. Callis says while he wasn’t here on the first episode of Dynamite, he did raise Omega, and the run they had as AEW Champion was unprecedented. Callis says Omega thought he could do it without him, and so in 2023, he had to remind him who was really in charge. Callis tells Ospreay that he owes everything to him, and now like Omega, he thinks he can do everything on his own, but he can’t. After Callis tells Ospreay that the road to London is paved in his blood, members of the Don Callis Family attack him and continue until Omega appears to (slowly) save him. Omega tells Ospreay that he felt everything that he was saying, but as much as he feels, he never thinks. Omega says he warned him about Callis, Jon Moxley, and MJF, but his feelings have made him sloppy. He says he doesn’t want to fight the sloppy Will Ospreay, he wants the best. He says from here on out, it’s just the two of them. Ospreay says he appreciates the help, but he didn’t ask for it, and he’s not going to need it.
• Darby Allin appears and addresses Kevin Knight about when he’ll be challenging for the TNT Championship again. Allin says he thinks he was wrong that Knight would do the right thing, but there are no limits he’ll go to in London. He says if he can beat him at his own game, then he’ll have lived up to his potential all those years ago when they first met.

Will Ospreay Has Decisions To Make

Will Ospreay spent so much time training with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, he couldn’t see what Mox’s real agenda was until it was almost too late. With Don Callis lurking in the shadows, working to manipulate him to fall back in line, can Ospreay stay the course in his pursuit of the AEW World Championship, or will he fall back?

Ospreay made his choice and will likely have ghosts to conquer post-win with the Death Riders, but it’s Callis that could prove to be the bigger threat. It’s unlikely that Omega will fall back to Callis after all these years, but Ospreay needs to make a choice whether he can prove himself on his own or if what he needs to succeed is Callis.
