Eric Bischoff talks Vince McMahon potentially returning as a public figure
Eric Bischoff recently discussed Vince McMahon and the potential of the former WWE owner making his way back to the company or even just being a public figure in general. Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff asked what the benefit of such a move would be:
“Everybody is kind of like assuming Vince wants to get back in the spotlight. I’m not sold on that. I highly doubt that we’re going to see a high-profile Vince McMahon. We’ll see him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes some smaller appearances in WWE, Hall of Fame-type of appearances, but he’s not going to be on regular programming. I don’t see a storyline with him. I don’t see him being a face of the company in any way, shape or form. The baggage that he has with him, regardless of how these things settle out, outweighs the benefit.”

Bischoff would also discuss the chances of McMahon coming back as a board member for TKO Group, which he believes is even less likely:
“I don’t know the rest of the board, right? I don’t know Ari Emanuel. I don’t know any of them. It’s hard to really say. From my perspective, I don’t see that either. I see that being even more remote. What added value does Vince McMahon bring to the board? He doesn’t. He brings baggage. He’s not Harvey Weinstein, he’s not quite there. He’s not Bill Cosby, but he’s in the same neighbourhood. It’s the same zip code.”
