WWE SmackDown performer wants to “swap out” Women’s Title for Divas Championship
WWE SmackDown name Blake Monroe has not wrestled yet on Friday nights, but she has admitted that she wants to bring back the Divas Championship. Speaking to The Sportster’s Adam Barnard in a recent interview, Monroe revealed that if she could face any Champion in history it would be either Trish Stratus or Nikki Bella:
“I mean, I have to say Trish just because I feel like she’s just the goat like she’s the ultimate diva and I say that with respect because I know people down talk diva. To me, it’s not a negative term. It’s like, it’s just the female version of a superstar. But she exuded that energy of like being a diva and like she had so much charisma and her promos and her gear and she was just- so many women are inspired by her or Nikki Bella for her Divas Championship because lowkey, I love the Divas Championship, the butterfly. It was cute. It would match my outfit.”

Monroe would also add “don’t let me get my hands on a title because I’ll swap them out [with the Divas Title].” Whether she would be allowed to do that remains to be seen, but this isn’t the first time that Monroe/Mariah May has stated her love of the mid-2000 to late 2010s era of Women’s wrestling, specifically the Divas era.
