LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keys Vs. The Bloodline

bloodline vs knight keyes and sikoa at summerslam.
WWE

Unholy alliances have formed between existing rivals LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys as a common enemy in The Bloodline has emerged in recent months. Will this makeshift trio be able to take down The Usos & Jacob Fatu?

Andrew Kelly predicts; As entertaining as Solo Sikoa, Royce Keys & LA Knight have been as a trio, WWE will not be able to help themselves in creating division and tension within the group at SummerSlam, leading to a victory for The Bloodline.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; This babyface team felt forced together, but it has become wildly entertaining thanks to the hilarious babyface turn for Solo Sikoa. Solo gets the pin over one of his brothers and continues to become a fan favorite.

Josh Coulson predicts; This is a tricky one to call. Fatu needs to keep getting wins, but so does Keyes on the opposing side of this match. The Bloodline hitting a speed bump isn’t going to hurt them so I’ll say their opponents win, but Keys, specifically, the one who gets the victory.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Solo Sikoa, Royce Keys & LA Knight 2-1 The Bloodline

Gunther Vs. Nick Aldis

gunther vs aldis at summerslam.
WWE

The long-running General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown Nick Aldis is set to return to the ring for the first time in three years (making his WWE in-ring debut in the process) as he takes on a man who has become frustrated with the authority figures on WWE programming, Gunther, in a personal grudge match.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Gunther doesn’t lose often, and Nick Aldis certainly won’t be one of the few to score a win over him. Aldis’ return will see him put on a very impressive fight to show the fans what he’s capable of, but he will ultimately be yet another name to pass out to The Ring General.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; It’s great to see Nick Aldis finally back in the ring. Hopefully this is the start of a full-time return. He’s going to impress casual fans, but he also shouldn’t be capable of beating Gunther just yet. The Ring General wins.

Josh Coulson predicts; Gunther’s streak of retiring big stars has hit a bit of a roadblock. Understandable as there are only so many people the man can retire before he runs out of options. WWE finally giving Aldis the match he deserves feels a little like a one off to pad Gunther’s retirement run. Bring Aldis back and then immediately send him back to GM duties to give Gunther something to brag about.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Gunther 3-0 Nick Aldis

The Bella Twins & Paige Vs. Fatal Influence

bellas and paige vs fatal influence at summerslam.
WWE

After dethroning Brie Bella & Paige for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, members of Fatal Influence were not finished with the veterans… prompting the return of Nikki Bella. The former stars of Total Divas team together in trios action to take on the newest rising stars in WWE’s women’s division.

Andrew Kelly predicts; The young and new trio of Fatal Influence should win this match… but they won’t. The return of Nikki Bella has almost definitely forecast a win for the babyfaces, especially since Nikki was originally planned to win the Women’s Tag Titles before her injury ahead of WrestleMania.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; This is a tough one. Fatal Influence is a new act and should win. However, because this is WWE and Nikki Bella is back, look for the veterans to get the victory.

Josh Coulson predicts; The obvious pick here is to give the veterans a win. It does feel a little too obvious, though. Fatal Influence has momentum. WWE needs to keep that momentum rolling by giving them the group the biggest win of its career this Saturday.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Paige & The Bella Twins 2-1 Fatal Influence

9

Liv Morgan Vs. Iyo Sky (Women’s World Championship)

morgan vs sky at summerslam.
WWE

After winning the Queen Of The Ring tournament, Iyo Sky is looking to repeat her recent feat of beating Liv Morgan, this time with the Women’s World Championship on the line in one of SummerSlam’s biggest world title showdowns.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Can WWE make Liv Morgan look even weaker by losing the Women’s World Title in her first major challenge after months of losses and being booked like a cheerleader for the Judgment Day? Yep, they can. This is because Iyo Sky is winning the match to become the new Women’s World Champion to save the floundering world title picture on RAW.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Liv Morgan’s reign has been a disaster for the simple reason that she’s been the champion for over 100 days and hasn’t defended it. Iyo Sky wins and becomes a fighting champion.

Josh Coulson predicts; Liv Morgan has become one of the top female stars in WWE. It’s been incredible to watch and she’s a fantastic heel. All of those reasons combined are why Sky needs to beat her at SummerSlam. These two can be mortal enemies for years to come, and that rivalry will be strengthened with a Sky win.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Iyo Sky 3-0 Liv Morgan

8

Oba Femi Vs. Brock Lesnar (Hell In A Cell)

femi vs lesnar at summerslam.
WWE

Oba Femi decimated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. Brock Lesnar took shortcuts to a win at Clash In Italy 2026. After months of bad blood these two behemoths will settle the score once and for all, this time inside WWE’s most devastating structure, Hell In A Cell.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Brock Lesnar may be in his hometown, but Oba Femi is winning the match to complete this trilogy of major showdowns between these two beasts. Whether Lesnar retires or not is besides the point, as Femi will be the one standing tall regardless.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; This is the easiest one to call. Oba Femi gets the biggest win of his career thus far and begins the build to the main event of WrestleMania 43, while Brock Lesnar rides off into the sunset for good. If “The Ruler” is booked to lose, WWE has made a devastating mistake.

Josh Coulson predicts; Brock Lesnar has really taken Oba Femi under his wing, something I didn’t think Lesnar was capable of. Even after the WrestleMania retirement rugpull, I still think Femi is the one that sends The Beast off into the sunset, and I think it happens inside Hell in a Cell this weekend.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Oba Femi 3-0 Brock Lesnar

7

CM Punk Vs. Cody Rhodes (WWE Championship)

New WWE Champion CM Punk is already matched with the toughest task imaginable; a major showdown with fellow top babyface Cody Rhodes. With both men desperate for the WWE Title to beat the other, who will have what it takes to go the extra mile and pull off a huge victory?

Andrew Kelly predicts; CM Punk only just recently won the WWE Championship… so he won’t lose it here. WWE has teased a potential heel turn for one of these guys, but it will be a babyface Punk defeating a babyface Rhodes at SummerSlam, followed by a respectful handshake.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Fans will lose their minds if Cody Rhodes becomes the WWE Champion again so soon. He needs a break away from the world title. CM Punk goes over to continue what should be a lengthy title reign.

Josh Coulson predicts; Even though it feels like the WWE Title has changed hands far too often these past few months, whenever Cody Rhodes is competing for it on a big stage, it just feels like he’s destined to win. The American Nightmare to beat Punk and become WWE Champion once again in this one.

TheSportster’s Prediction: CM Punk 2-1 Cody Rhodes

6

Trick Williams Vs. Baron Corbin (United States Championship)

williams vs corbin at summerslam.
WWE

In his first match since his shocking return to WWE, Baron Corbin is set to take on reigning and defending men’s United States Champion Trick Williams, whose reign has been strong ever since his title win all the way back at WrestleMania 42.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Even though Baron Corbin only recently returned to WWE, Trick Williams’ wave of momentum is too high to disrupt right now, especially for a name like Corbin, whose stock is fairly low. Williams wins this match to continue his dominant United States Title reign.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Baron Corbin just came back and normally wouldn’t lose so soon. However, he’s going up against the future face of SmackDown, Trick Williams. Look for Trick to get an impressive win over the veteran, who will certainly make him look good.

Josh Coulson predicts; I’ve got the feeling Corbin is going to get a taste of being tested here by WWE, even though it was never his choice to leave in the first place. More importantly, though, I think it’s important for Williams to win this one so he continues to build himself as one of WWE’s up and coming MVPs.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Trick Williams 3-0 Baron Corbin

5

Danhausen Vs. Dominik Mysterio (Human Monies On A Pole)

danhausen vs mysterio at summerslam.
WWE

After months of curses, brawls, sing-songs, and attacks, Danhausen and Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio will do battle for funds in a “Human Monies On A Pole” match at SummerSlam 2026, which is sure to feature some ridiculous shenanigans.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Despite The Judgment Day looking weaker and weaker by the week, I cannot see a world in which Danhausen loses an “On A Pole” match with money on the line. This will be weird, full of interference and shenanigans (and likely Minihausens), leading to another crowd-pleasing win for WWE’s newest breakout star.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Danhausen is dangerously close to jumping the shark. He’s on a winning streak and will probably win again. I’m going to take a risk and say he finally loses. Dom-Dom is in desperate need of a big victory.

Josh Coulson predicts; Danhausen has been a thorn in Judgment Day’s paw since he signed with WWE. The easy thing to do here would be to keep that going. I think WWE needs to recognize it’s okay, and even necessary, for big rivalries to end on big stages and have Dominik finally get one over on Danhausen at SummerSlam.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Dominik Mysterio 2-1 Danhausen

4

Sami Zayn Vs. Finn Balor (WWE Title Number One Contender)

balor vs zayn at summerslam.
WWE

Former WWE Champion Sami Zayn is looking for revenge while Finn Balor is looking to stamp himself in the top title scene after his recent move to Friday Night SmackDown. It will be high stakes when these two go at it with a shot at the WWE Championship on the line.

Andrew Kelly predicts; This is a complete toss-up. Both men have lost in world title matches to CM Punk earlier in 2026, so having either of them win makes sense for a redemption arc. However, with Zayn only losing recently, it would make sense for him to rejoin the hunt quickly and spark a feud with Punk in the aftermath of SummerSlam.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Neither of these men can afford to lose. Finn Balor could win, setting up a match with Punk, driving Sami Zayn further into the depths of madness. I don’t see WWE waiting that long though. Zayn gets the win, setting up a rematch with the champ.

Josh Coulson predicts; Zayn has been on a series of generational crashouts, but I don’t think we’ve seen anything yet. This is effectively his last route back to reclaiming the WWE Championship. I don’t think he takes it, and the finger pointing and victim blaming that comes after will be next level.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Sami Zayn 2-1 Finn Balor

3

Penta Vs. Chad Gable (Intercontinental Championship)

penta vs gable at summerslam.
WWE

Chad Gable’s road to redemption has seen him make amends with the luchadors he previously wronged, but it has also seen him build momentum and earn a shot at Penta’s Intercontinental Championship, setting the course for a major showdown between rivals-turned-friends.

Andrew Kelly predicts; Hometown advantage. Babyface momentum. The Redemption arc is almost complete. Chad Gable is winning the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his WWE career.

Shawn Van Horn predicts; Chad Gable is in his home state of Minnesota, going after the title that’s always eluded him. At SummerSlam, in what should be the best match of the entire PLE, Gable gets the win and the respect of Penta.

Josh Coulson predicts; There is no way Chad Gable doesn’t win this match. Not only because he is on the mother of all redemption tours, but because that is being paired with Penta being framed as almost unbeatable as IC Champion. Gable will win, chalking up the biggest victory of his career.

TheSportster’s Prediction: Chad Gable 3-0 Penta
