Mustafa Ali Recalls Getting Kayfabed By Swerve Strickland After He Purchased His Childhood Home
Mustafa Ali got worked by Swerve Strickland.
Back in September 2024, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page burned down Swerve Strickland’s childhood home just days before their huge match at All Out. Hours before the segment aired, Strickland touted the purchase of the home on social media.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Mustafa Ali recalled congratulating Strickland on the purchase before seeing the segment play out later that night.
“Swerve, you asshole. So he posts a picture, right? He posts a picture so I DM him and I go, ‘Yo man, that’s what it’s about, being able to buy something for our loved ones. I’m so happy for you.’ This piece of — ooh, ‘Thank you brother, much love. Yeah man, top of the world feeling.’ Then, to see this thing burned down. I go, ‘I hate him so much. I hate him so much.’ Screw you, Swerve. [laughs]”
