Matt Cardona: I Would Love To Come Back At Royal Rumble 2027 – Fightful

Matt Cardona wants to return at Royal Rumble 2027.

Next year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event takes place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. An official date for the event hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s scheduled to take place in February.

Matt Cardona, who’s currently out with a torn triceps, spoke with Jeremy Jacobowitz recently. Cardona was asked which is a bigger return nowadays: a surprise entrance at Royal Rumble or post-WrestleMania. Cardona stated that he’d love to come back at next year’s Rumble.

“I will say this. It lines up with coming back at Rumble. So I would love to come back at Royal Rumble. This past year at Royal Rumble, I was in there for like a minute. Let’s not count that. Let’s come back at this Royal Rumble and win the whole thing and go on to WrestleMania.”

Cardona was a surprise entrant at Royal Rumble 2026, entering at number six. He recently shared his thoughts on wrestlers not getting over. Fans can check his full comments here.
