TNA Wrestling Releases Statement Regarding Max Caster Rap – Fightful
TNA Wrestling is no longer working with Max Caster.
On Monday, the company issued a press release apologizing for the insensitive comments that Caster made about Riyadh/Saudi Arabia at TNA Bound For Glory. The company also took responsibility for the incident before noting that Caster will no longer be working for them.
“During Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people. Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize. We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again. Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA.”
This press release comes hours after Fightful Select reported that the Riyadh line was not scripted or approved by TNA ahead of time. Fans can read our full report on the matter by clicking here.
Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation as it unfolds.
