AJ Styles: I Never Said I Was The Leader Of The Bullet Club - Fightful

AJ Styles reflects on people believing he was the leader of the Bullet Club, noting that for him, he did not consider himself the leader.

Throughout his professional wrestling career, Styles has wrestled all over the world for some of the biggest promotions on the planet, including spending time in Japan with New Japan Pro Wrestling following his run in TNA and prior to his signing with WWE. While many consider him to be a leader of the Bullet Club faction, for Styles himself, he does not see it that way.

While speaking to Sporf’s James Sweetnam in a new interview, AJ Styles noted that he doesn’t view himself as a former leader of The Bullet Club.

“See, everybody thinks I was the leader of the Bullet Club. I never said that I was the leader of the Bullet Club. You could say I was the leader of the Bullet Club, but our thing when I was in the Bullet Club is that we didn’t follow anybody, including whoever the leader was. So we were the Bullet Club.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, AJ spoke about wishing he got to face The Undertaker before their Boneyard match. You can read more about that here.
