Hayashi Masahiro, Creator Of Rey Mysterio’s 1997 Halloween Havoc Gear, Recreated Design For Mysterio’s Match AAA Triplemanía 34
Hayashi Masahiro is still making Rey Mysterio’s gear and masks.
Headlining night one of Lucha Libre AAA’s Triplemanía 34 show in Las Vegas, Nevada, was a singles match between Omos and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio.
Mysterio’s gear for the night was a tribute to his gear from the 1997 WCW Halloween Havoc event.
Mysterio’s longtime gear and mask maker, Hayashi Masahiro, took to social media to share that he created Mysterio’s gear for Triplemanía and said he never imagined the Halloween Havoc gear would still be fresh in people’s minds.
“I created this design inspired by The Phantom.
when @619iamlucha wrestled Eddie Guerrero at WCW Halloween Havoc 29 years ago.
Back then, I never imagined this design would remain in everyone’s memories for so long.
Tonight, I recreated new one for AAA’s biggest event, Triplemanía 34 in Las Vegas MGM Grand Arena.
He continues to fight,both in our memories and in reality.

Mysterio lost to Omos and was beaten down post-match. Mysterio was on a stretcher, and Omos lifted Mysterio while he was still strapped to the spinal board and slammed him through an announce table.
Rey was present at the Zuffa Boxing event on September 12th in Las Vegas, and he accompanied Ryan Garcia to the ring for his fight against Conor Benn. Mysterio was wearing a neck brace.
