WWE Production Team Reportedly Feels “Handcuffed” By Netflix Restrictions

Posted By: Ben Kerin on Sep 04, 2026

WWE’s post-production team is reportedly feeling “handcuffed” by Netflix’s content restrictions after footage of a bloody attack on The Usos was blurred on RAW.

Jey and Jimmy Uso were left bloodied by Royce Keys and OTM’s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price on Monday’s show. The blurred footage has reportedly added to frustration behind the scenes over how certain moments are presented.

According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, some members of WWE’s post-production team believe the restrictions limit their work. While WWE knew Netflix had rules in place, many within the company reportedly did not expect them to be so extensive.

The decision to share the unedited attack on social media was reportedly “unanimous”, allowing WWE to promote the storyline as intended. One source also suggested the segment might have worked better during a week when RAW aired live.

This follows other examples of content being censored, including profanity on Brock Lesnar’s T-shirt, Bron Breakker being bloodied at Night of Champions and Cody Rhodes bleeding on the July 6 episode of RAW.

Does blurring these moments take away from WWE’s storytelling? Share your thoughts in the comments.
