AEW All In London 2026: Success Or Failure?

AEW’s streak of PPVs has been unprecedented over the last couple of years, with only the previous Redemption event being divisive. The promotion sought to continue their momentum with AEW All In: London 2026, as the company took over Wembley Stadium in London, England for the biggest marquee PPV of the year – but was the show a success or failure?

Whether it be brand new champions being crowned, major debuts and returns which took place on the card, the quality of high profile matches, or both bad and good booking decisions, there are several factors to assess when seeing what worked and what didn’t across AEW All In: London 2026.

Failure: Britt Baker Returns… On The Pre-Show

• Britt Baker returned at AEW All In.
• She interfered in the pre-show TBS Title match.
• There were not enough women’s matches on the All In: London 2026 card.

One of the biggest issues with AEW All In: London 2026 was the fact that there were only two women’s matches on the card. This meant that Britt Baker’s massive return after over a year away came on the Buy-In.

She interfered in the TBS Championship match between Maya World and Persephone, laying the path for a new champion to be crowned at the show. This was a great surprise and moment, but it would have been nicer had it been on the main card.

Success: The New Level Debuts

• Swerve Strickland, Kofi & Austin Creed were the wild card team.
• The New Day became The New Level.
• They won the AEW World Trios Championships.

AEW All In: London 2026 opened in the best way. The pre-show Trios Royale Roulette rolled over into the main show… and the wild card emerged as Swerve Strickland and The New Level; Kofi & Austin Creed, formerly of The New Day.

This was an expected but welcome debut, with the new trio winning the AEW World Trios Titles to kick the PPV off with an absolute bang.

Success: Nigel McGuinness’ Emotional Defeat

• Jon Moxley defeated Nigel McGuinness.
• McGuinness put in a fantastic performance at All In.
• Moxley won the Continental Cup.

Jon Moxley & Nigel McGuinness clashed in the finals of the Continental Cup, and while Moxley continued his Continental Title reign in another banger, this was all about McGuinness’ tremendous selling and emotional performance, having the crowd on the edge of their seat as he came heartbreakingly close to a fairytale win in his home country.

Everything about this match was fantastic, from the slow-burn build to the in-ring psychology to the final few moments in which McGuinness attempts to claw his way to the rope, only to succumb to the pain and tap out. This was by far one of the biggest highlights at All In: London 2026.

Failure: Kyle Fletcher Loses The International Championship

• Kyle Fletcher was having a strong reign as International Champion.
• Kazuchika Okada won the gold at All In.
• Fletcher should have been handed a big moment at All In: London 2026.

The triple threat match between Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita was fantastic, with all three men putting in a wonderful in-ring display full of wild sequences, near-falls, crisp offense, and more, colliding in one of the matches of the night. However, the result was the wrong one.

The most defined star in the match, Okada, was the one who escaped with the victory, gaining back the International Title that he won all the way back at All In last year. This was the time for Fletcher to secure a win on a stage the scale of All In. Sure, he may be being built for a babyface turn in the near future, but with his International Title reign not even too old, he should’ve retained here.

Success: Cage & Cope Vs. The Young Bucks Dream Match Delivers

• There were high expectations for this AEW World Tag Team Championship match.
• Cage & Cope defeated The Young Bucks.
• This was one of the best matches at AEW All In: London 2026.

Anything billed as a “dream match” is always up against the odds, but Cage & Cope vs. The Young Bucks delivered on all metrics. Incredible in-ring work, flawless sequences, strong psychology, and character development, all leading to a heelish title defense from the champions.

Post-match, the arrivals of The New Level, FTR, and Motor City Machine Guns showed fans what is in store for the future of AEW’s tag team division, which is more stacked than ever.

Success & Failure: Sting Passes The Torch But Darby Allin Gets A Pointless Win

• Darby Allin defeated Kevin Knight.
• Sting & Steve Borden had a great moment in the match.
• Knight should’ve won at AEW All In: London.

Kevin Knight is a star on the rise in AEW, and defeating Darby Allin to elevate his TNT Title reign even further would have been another star-making moment in his big 2026. However, he came up short, and Allin, who was AEW World Champion not long ago, re-entered the midcard division with another TNT Championship victory (which feels like a step down).

While the winner was arguably incorrect, the match itself had plenty of great moments, namely Sting passing the torch to his son, Steve Borden, in a great moment atop a ladder. Allin would also hit a wild Coffin Drop off the stage in an insane match ending.

Success: Mercedes Mone Finally Wins The Big One

• Mercedes Mone & Willow Nightingale stole the show.
• Mone finally won the AEW Women’s World Title.
• Nightingale’s title reign was not long enough.

Willow Nightingale’s AEW Women’s World Title reign should have certainly been longer, but Mercedes Mone finally securing the one title that has eluded her on a stage such as All In: London 2026 is more than deserved.

The match between Nightingale & Mone was a bloody, brutal, physical fight that was among one of the best across the whole PPV, and it ended with Mone forcing Nightingale to pass out.

Success: Will Ospreay Vs. Kenny Omega Classic

• The All In: London 2026 main event was a classic.
• Will Ospreay defeated Kenny Omega.
• Ospreay became the brand new AEW World Champion.

Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay delivered one of the greatest matches in AEW history. It was arguably the most hard-hitting and physical ever seen in the promotion, with both men putting their bodies on the line in a massive main event that ticked every box.

This match might not be for everyone, but for those that it was, this is an undeniable 10/10 matchup and one that made a main event star out of Ospreay, who kicked out of the One Winged Angel and became the brand new AEW World Champion.
