Next World title challenger crowned in Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In 2026
After months of demanding a shot at the title, Andrade El Idolo finally earned a shot at the AEW World title at Sunday’s All In by winning a Casino Gauntlet match.
The end came when MJF nailed Nick Wayne with a low blow, followed by a Heat Seeker. As he went to pin him, Andrade hit his spinning back elbow on MJF to knock him out of the ring. He then stole the pin on Wayne to get the win and the future title shot which can be cashed in at any time with a one week notice (if past rules still apply).
Andrade and MJF were the first two entrants in a match that featured eleven total wrestlers that included Wayne, Mike Bailey, Tommaso Ciampa, Chris Jericho, Mark Davis, Komander, Mistico, Daniel Garcia and Jack Perry.
The match featured a lot of callbacks to past feuds including Chris Jericho vs. MJF, MJF vs. Garcia, Jericho vs. Ciampa, and Jericho against Andrade.
In one notable blunder, ring announcer Justin Roberts announced Komander as Mistico, leading to fans chanting “You f’d up” and “Mistico” before he did his rope walk spot. Roberts then announced his actual name to a big ovation. Mistico was then the next entrant and was jumped by Garcia and Marina Shafir before he could get to the ring.
