New details reportedly emerge on WWE’s plans for Zilla Fatu
An update is available regarding Zilla Fatu.
Dave Meltzer mentioned recently on Wrestling Observer Radio that Fatu is expected to be on the WWE main roster “soon enough.”
On Thursday, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reported that the vignette for Fatu that aired on WWE Raw on Monday was designed to serve as a “soft introduction” for fans who may not be familiar with him while also promoting Sunday’s NXT Heatwave.
The report continued to say that those within WWE believe pairing Fatu with his cousins in The Bloodline on the main roster could set Zilla up for long-term success in the company.
Fatu is scheduled to challenge for the NXT Championship at Heatwave on Sunday in Edinburg, Texas. He will be involved in a four-way match for the title with champion Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana, formerly known as Mike Santana.
The 26-year-old Fatu is the son of the late Umaga, and trained at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling.
