Chris Jericho says Kenny Omega is modern era’s best big-show performer
Former World Champion Chris Jericho has heaped praise on AEW EVP Kenny Omega.
A founding member of AEW, Kenny Omega has remained with the promotion for years now and is currently the promotion’s World Champion. A part of AEW since its inception, Omega is widely known for his work across the world, especially in NJPW and AEW.
Speaking to Justin Barrasso, Jericho opened up and called out Omega as the modern era’s best big-show performer, ahead of his scheduled Wembley title defense.
“Kenny’s [Omega] the best big show performer I’ve ever seen,” said Jericho. While the veteran labeled Omega as the modern era’s best big-show performer, he also named Shawn Michaels as a big-show performer of a different era.
“Shawn Michaels was, too, in a different era. For the modern era, I can’t think of anybody better than Kenny–who delivers on big shows constantly.”
Over the years, Omega has participated in several high-profile matches at different PPVs. He is now set to defend his AEW World title against Will Ospreay at AEW All In 2026 in London.
