When Is WWE’s Next 2026 PLE?

The two-night SummerSlam 2026 event is officially in the history books, completing another WWE PLE on the 2026 calendar, with seven shows featured thus far. For decades, WWE has mostly held PPVs/PLEs on a monthly basis, though a month here or there has been missed out at times. On the back of SummerSlam, fans are scratching their heads and asking the question of when the next 2026 PLE is going to be. For whatever reason, nothing has been announced for the remainder of August or for the entirety of September. So what is going on with WWE’s 2026 PLE schedule?

WWE Is Not Building Any Matches For A PLE

• After SummerSlam, WWE isn’t promoting any major shows.
• WWE announced a world title match on TV between Kevin Owens & CM Punk.
• There is no big event announced for another two months.

When SummerSlam 2026 was over and WWE carried on into the next episode of Monday Night RAW, there was a glaring omission from other post-PLE episodes of television. There was no mention, promotion, or tease of the next PLE on the WWE calendar. Across Monday Night RAW & Friday Night SmackDown, announcements were made for upcoming world title clashes, though the showdowns between Roman Reigns & the winner of WWE’s luchador contenders tournament and CM Punk & Kevin Owens will both take place on weekly programming.

Usually, some mention will be made of an upcoming “Backlash”, “Night Of Champions”, “Great Balls Of Fire” (okay, maybe not that one), would take place to sell tickets and begin the build to certain feuds and matches, but there has been absolutely nothing. In fact, when taking a look at WWE’s upcoming announced shows, there is nothing for the rest of the month of August and no PLEs in September at all, with the next not coming for another two months! This may have left fans confused and wondering what the next big event to look forward to is. So, when is WWE’s next PLE?

WWE’s Next PLE Is Money In The Bank 2026

• Money In The Bank is scheduled for October.
• Survivor Series is scheduled for November.
• WWE may not hold any other PLEs this year.

Being usurped from its usual summertime slot on the PLE calendar, Money In The Bank is set to take place in Autumn for the first time ever. WWE announced last year that Money In The Bank would be heading to New Orleans (perhaps as compensation for WrestleMania being taken from the city), though it was originally scheduled for August, before being pushed to September, before then being pushed again to October. There is every chance that WWE were planning both Money in The Bank in those months plus another October-based PLE, but we will never know.

With Money In The Bank set for October and Survivor Series set for November, with WWE not usually hosting a show in December, this could very well be it for WWE’s PLE calendar in 2026. If so, then WWE will close out the year with just nine major events. This will be the lowest total since all the way back in 1994 when WWE held five PPVs (the “big four” plus King Of The Ring), before expanding into monthly shows with the In Your House series in 1995. Perhaps WWE is considering the two-night WrestleMania and SummerSlam as enough to cover the year.

WWE Will Host Sunday Night’s Main Event & Worlds Collide

• WWE has treated Saturday Night’s Main Event as a bigger deal.
• Worlds Collide may take the place of WWE’s September PLE.
• WWE held Wrestlepalooza in September last year.

When looking across the next couple of months, fans will still have some significant stops on the road to Money In The Bank. For instance, the first ever “Sunday” Night’s Main Event will take place on September 6 – and with these special shows being treated with plenty of respect and prominence since the renewal of the series, featuring major retirements, title matches, and more. Plus, Worlds Collide will be emanating from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on September 26, giving fans action involving both stars from WWE and AAA.

There is every chance that WWE announces a last minute addition to the calendar for September, much like they did with Wrestlepalooza last year, but as of yet fans will be waiting for two more months before the next premium live event.
