Tony Khan says Steven Borden’s hospital tests were good, can hopefully fly home tomorrow – POST Wrestling
Tony Khan opened the post-AEW All Out press conference with a further positive update on Steven Borden.
Borden was taken to hospital earlier in the night after his tag team match was stopped by the ringside doctor following an apparent head impact.
Khan said Borden had undergone a CT scan and that the results of his tests had been good. He added that AEW was hopeful Borden would be able to fly home to his family on Sunday.
Khan said in full:
First and foremost, I wanted to get down to business and say I have a great update.
Thankfully, Steven Borden is awake and responsive at the hospital. He had a CT scan and all the tests have come back good. So far, all good results and we’re hopeful Steven’s going to be able to fly home tomorrow to his family. So that’s great news coming out of the pay-per-view.
Borden was injured while teaming with Darby Allin against Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight in an AEW World Tag Team Championship number-one contenders match. The contest was stopped after Borden appeared to strike the back of his head on the mat following a midair collision with Knight.
Fletcher & Knight were awarded the victory by doctor stoppage.
