How Much Will They Earn At BKFC 94?

Darren Till and Yoel Romero will settle their rivalry, which started in the UFC, by fighting without gloves at BKFC 94 on Saturday night.

The two former UFCtitle challengers are the headliners at the event at Manchester’s AO Arena, both of them appearing for the first time in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Till stopped Aaron Chalmers in the second round of his BKFC debut in May, whereas Romero beat Theo Doukas in his promotional debut in September 2025.

A considerable amount of money is involved in the fight. BKFC has not made either fighter’s payment public, and since the event is happening in England, it is unlikely that the kind of athletic commission salary disclosure which sometimes occurs in the United States will take place.

We have enough information from Till’s comments regarding his contract and from the past BKFC payments as well as Romero’s previous earnings to make a realistic estimate.

Darren Till Could Be Looking at Around $1 Million

Till’s entry into bare-knuckle boxing seems to have been somewhat due to an offer which was simply too attractive to turn down.

“What changed is my bank account got a few zeroes in it,” Till told MMA Fighting before making his BKFC debut. He also said that the opportunity was “too good to pass”. After leaving Misfits Boxing, where he had restored his career with wins against Anthony Taylor and Luke Rockhold, Till entered into a multi-fight contract.

There is one more indication of how much BKFC values him.

In 2024, Mike Perry stated that Till had turned down an offer valued at “over $2 million” in order to fight him. At that time, BKFC president David Feldman said that the promotion had met Till’s financial requirements, even though Feldman never verified the $2 million figure that Perry had given. Since the possible fight between Perry and Till would have been a much bigger grudge match, it would be a mistake to assume that Till is now being offered that amount against Romero.

Nevertheless, Till is the headliner at what Feldman has referred to as BKFC’s largest event ever held in the United Kingdom, and he is the main local attraction in Manchester.

It therefore seems reasonable to estimate that Till’s guaranteed fee was somewhere between $750,000 and $1.25 million, the midpoint appearing to be about $1 million.

It is still possible that the figure does not include money from sponsorship, any discretionary bonuses, or any participation in contractual revenue.

Yoel Romero Purse Could Reach $300,000-$500,000

Romero won’t be as commanding a figure as Till, but ‘Soldier of God’ has always been a difficult opponent.

A useful point of reference is his most recent publicly available Bellator salary. The California State Athletic Commission stated that Romero was paid a fixed amount of $150,000 for his debut for Bellator against Phil Davis in 2021. Throughout his time in the UFC, the amount disclosed for his purse amounted to $350,000 for the fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 248.

BKFC has also shown that it is willing to pay a large amount of money to established fighters from the UFC. At KnuckleMania 4 in 2024, the commissions revealed that Mike Perry was paid $600,000, Thiago Alves got $200,000, and Ben Rothwell received $150,000. These were guaranteed salaries and did not take into account any additional undisclosed earnings.

Romero probably falls somewhere between the Alves/Rothwell level and the top of BKFC’s main attractions. Although he has been a former Olympic silver medallist, a former UFC title challenger, and one of the most well-known fighters of his generation, at the age of 49 he is not the main commercial draw on Saturday.

That means that $300,000 to $500,000 is a reasonable figure for Romero, $400,000 being about a sensible middle point.

This would make the estimated total of the guaranteed amounts for the main event at BKFC 94 come to about $1.4 million, although the actual figure could change quite a bit according to the bonuses and the structure of Till’s multi-fight contract.
