Next to the Royal Rumble, the annual Money in the Bank matches have become the most exciting in WWE, so much so that they’re now part of their own PLE. Just like with the Rumble, whoever pulls down the briefcase earns a world title shot. However, instead of it being locked in for WrestleMania, the winner can cash in whenever they want, adding a level of unpredictability to such an important win. There are many great options to win the men’s Money in the Bank in 2026, but for us only one superstar makes sense. If WWE pulls the trigger on this young talent, they will create a new main eventer for many years to come.

Trick Williams Must Win Money in the Bank

• A new generation must soon replace the likes of Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk.
• Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams have already qualified for the ladder match.
• The speed of Evans and the power of Breakker will add to the excitement of the match.

WWE is currently ruled by older veterans in their 40s, whether it be the Roman Reigns show on Raw, or the likes of Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk dominating SmackDown. Sooner rather than later, the company must start focusing on the youth movement of the next generation. Money in the Bank creates the perfect opportunity for this moment, and it looks like WWE already knows it. So far, younger superstars such as Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams have qualified for the ladder match, while veterans such as Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton have found themselves on the losing end.

There will be three more qualifying matches before the October 10 PLE, but already WWE has an impressive list of contenders. The match will show the aura Williams brings, the speed of Evans, and the power of Breakker. Either of these three men could believably carry the briefcase. For Evans, however, the moment feels a bit too soon, and Breakker is being booked better of late, making it so that he doesn’t need the win. There can only be one man who wins the 2026 men’s Money in the Bank match. No matter who else is added, Trick Williams must earn himself a world title shot.

Trick Williams Could Cash in on a Babyface or Heel World Champion

• Williams hasn’t had much to do on SmackDown since getting the US Championship back from Baron Corbin.
• Trick could restart his rivalry with Sami Zayn, now for the WWE Championship.
• Fans would also respond positively if Williams beat a popular good guy for a world title.

Fans have responded to Trick Williams from the moment he was called up to SmackDown. With his look, mic skills, thrilling entrance, and entertaining in-ring talent, he has all the tools to be the future of WWE. After a career-making feud with Sami Zayn and a United States Championship win, Williams has sputtered on Friday nights, without much to do outside of a decent feud with the returning Baron Corbin. Williams is running in place, waiting for his moment. What better way to give him an immediate spark than to book Trick Willy to win Money in the Bank? Just imagine how decked ou the briefcase would be alone.

Money in the Bank helps to build a character. For a babyface, it allows them to aim for that shocking moment where they come running down to the ring to cash in and the crowd goes wild. Remember when Dolph Ziggler, for example, cashed in? For one night, he felt like the most popular wrestler in the world. It’s even better for a heel, creating an opportunity for them to take the easy way out, or to come down to the ring, tease cashing in, then chicken out, thus turning the crowd against them even more.

Trick Williams floats somewhere in between. When he came to SmackDown, he was booked as a heel. WWE fans refused to play along. He was so exciting that we cheered his every move, resulting in Sami Zayn having to turn bad. Williams isn’t exactly a tweener. What he can do, though, is get away with things that traditional babyfaces can’t. There is a chance there for Williams to restart his feud with Zayn by cashing in on the current WWE Champion. He could also wait and cash in on a babyface champion like Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, and rather than being booed, the arena would erupt with cheers.

Trick Williams and Oba Femi Are Ready To Be the Faces of WWE

• Oba Femi will beat Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 43.
• Williams can beat the Ruler and become a world chamipion first.
• SmackDown needs fresh talent in main event storylines.

The era of the older veterans is getting closer to an end. When it does, there will be no struggle to find who will lead the next generation. Oba Femi is certain to beat Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 43. When he does, he becomes the biggest star in WWE. Today, though, with brand splits, the company can’t have one top star. Like John Cena needed Batista, Femi needs a counterpart who can equal him on an opposite brand and eventually become a foe. Bron Breakker is certain to be up there, but he can’t compete with what Trick Williams has.

We have to wait another six months plus for the Ruler to get his huge moment in the spotlight. Trick can beat him to it, first with a Money in the Bank win, then a successful cash-in for wrestling’s top prize, the WWE Championship He needs it. WWE needs it even more. SmackDown can’t keep having the same guys at the top week after week and month after month. Make Williams the new WWE Champion and Friday nights immediately feel fresh. On October 10, Trick Willy gets the briefcase. After that, what comes next is the easiest choice TKO and Triple H can make.
