Kenny Omega Praises Paul Turner: “I Trust Him With All Of My Being… He’s The Main Event Referee”

The newest episode of The Anime Effect Podcast includes an interview with former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
There was a focus on Omega’s main event match against Will Ospreay at All In 2026. During that deep dive, Omega shouted out the official for the match, Paul Turner. He said Turner has been an incredible main event referee.
“It was incredible all around. Even our referee, Paul Turner. What a main event referee job he’s done for us. I trust him with all of my being. For a guy that’s doing the main events… he’s the main event referee, to me anyway, and for the chaos type of matches, I mean, you gotta give it up to (Rick) Knox. Knox knows how to be exactly where he needs to be when everyone’s flying everywhere because he’s got that PWG experience.”
There is no word on when Omega will be back on AEW programming.
