Big E Shares Heartwarming Reaction Following New Day’s AEW Debut At All In

The moment the wrestling world has been waiting for since they left WWE finally happened at All In. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of The New Day, now Austin Creed and Kofi of New Level, made their AEW debuts. New Level will be one member lighter than the New Day was, and that core third member has now reacted to their debut in exactly the way you might imagine.

Big E Reacts To Kofi And Creed’s AEW Debut

Creed and Kofi have been without their New Day third, Big E, for a long time. The former WWE Champion broke his neck in 2022 and has confirmed he will almost certainly never wrestle again. However, it still must have been a bittersweet moment for both New Level and E when Creed and Kofi made their AEW debuts at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

E has reacted to the big debut by sharing a post from the designer behind Kofi and Creed’s new ring gear on his Instagram story. On top of that, the WWE employee has also been replying to fans asking for his input on the situation. “If you’re two living legends that are undervalued, sometimes you have to go to London,” one reply reads, with another notiing, “Very happy for my brothers.”

It didn’t need to be confirmed, but E’s “undervalued” comment reaffirms that Creed and Kofi left WWE because they were asked to take pay cuts. Significant pay cuts, by the sound of it, with recent reports claiming the new contracts the pair were asked to sign would have seen them earning 50% less than they were previously making.

Big E’s Current Role In WWE

The ins and outs of the WWE deal E is currently on aren’t public knowledge. However, since he has been out of the ring, working largely as a pundit, for more than four years, it seems almost certain that his deal was altered a long time ago. Again, no official word on this, but E likely took a pay cut a while ago to reflect the fact that, while still employed, he’s no longer an active in-ring competitor. With all that in mind, he was almost certainly not asked to take a pay cut along with Creed and Kofi when the pair opted to leave earlier this year.

Whether or not E will be in hot water for acknowledging Creed and Kofi in AEW remains unknown. I certainly hope he isn’t scalded for doing so, and considering how close he is with the men he formed New Day with, I can’t imagine he cares all that much.
