— Regarding Kevin Owens last night, limping from the ring after his match with Miz. He was not injured. He was just selling. Essentially he was doing what every wrestler in the 70s would do until they went through the curtain.

— MLW has teased a new television outlet for its programming. The deal with beIN Sports would end today and is not being renewed.

— Animal Hamaguchi, the former pro wrestling star turned women’s national wrestling team coach, turned 78 today. Jeff Hardy turned 48. Mickie James turned 46. Athena turned 37. Bert Assirati, by reputation one of the toughest wrestlers in history and longtime British champion who never lost the title because nobody could beat him, passed away 36 years ago today at the age of 82. He is a Hall of Famer at this. Another Hall of Famer, Karloff Lagarde, was 79 when he passed away 19 years ago today. Lagarde & Rene Guajardo as Los Rebeldes awre one of the most famous tag teams in history. Karl “Doc” Sarpolis was born on this day in 1897. He was a pioneer on blading and bloody matches. Jos LeDuc was born on this day in 1944. He was billed as the brother of Paul LeDuc, who just passed away, although the two were not related. They were one of the top tag teams in the 70s.
