On how often she communicates with Brawling Birds tag team partner Jamie Hayter: “Oh, all the time. We’re constantly talking about ideas character-wise, move-wise. So, I love that. We’re very much on the same page as well. Like, we think we both have an idea in our head of what we want the Brawling Birds to not just wrestle like, but also how we want to come across.
On drawing inspiration for ideas for their characters from movies and TV shows: “So, we’ll send each other clips or ideas of what we sort of want. You know, even to the point of what we’re gonna wear, and things like that. And I love that any sort of idea I put to her, she enjoys and she can build on, and vice versa. Like, you know, she’ll say about, ‘Oh, we could have this sort of character,’ or we can take an idea from this show or this movie. And I just think everything that we’re sort of putting into it, we’re just growing and growing as a team together.’”
On working with Hayter on the idea of cutting promos and filming vignettes in a British pub setting: “So again, we both had the idea of having, um, that sort of style and just having very… We both said we, anything we do, any promos we do, we wanna have that very British, in your face, this is what a British pub would sort of look like. So, I think again, from day one, we’ve had the idea of everything we’re about is authentically British, and it’s sort of true to who we are. So, I think it’s been a combination of both our brains and both what we have the idea of. And it’s so cool to see it coming to life as what we’ve sort of pictured it as.”
On why it’s special for her and Jamie Hayter to wrestle London: “I mean, honestly, there are so many factors of just the match at Wembley, having a title match at Wembley, a tag team title match at Wembley. There are just so many things that I never thought that I would ever reach. So, there are so many different layers to it that are special to me personally, and I think to Jamie as well.
“You know, the fact that we get to go against such a formidable team in Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Cross). I have to give them that. And the fact that we’re doing it on our home soil in front of the British fans, and being able to say that whatever happens Sunday, we will still have that moment of, we f—ing knocked it out of the park. And being able to share that sort of moment with Will (Ospreay) as well, it’s really full circle, and I don’t think anyone can take that away from us.”
Windsor on getting a lot of TV time to build the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title match at All In: “And also, I think that just fuels the fire going into Wembley because we know that we are at that point now where the fans are extremely invested in it. They all want to see us wrestle each other. I think it’s good that we’ve sort of given them snippets of what’s to come, but without oversaturating it too much to the point where they know it’s gonna be a fight. But they still don’t know exactly what, what a match between Divine Dominion and The Brawling Birds fully looks like, and we are gonna give them that tenfold at Wembley Stadium. I think we’re, and the fans, we’re all chomping at the bit to have that match at Wembley.”
