Will Ospreay makes surprise appearance at RevPro’s 14th Anniversary Show, sets up AEW All In angle

Will Ospreay made a surprise appearance at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s 14th Anniversary Show, wrestled in a match and shot an angle tied to tomorrow’s AEW All In: Wembley Stadium show.

The opening match was originally scheduled to be an eight-man tag pitting CPF (Danny Black, Maverick Mayhew, Joe Lando, and the returning Callum Newman) against Will Kaven, Mark Trew, Kieron Lacey, and Ricky Knight Jr. Before the bell, Sha Samuels made his return from one-month suspension and aligned himself with the heel team, turning the match into an impromptu 10-man affair. Samuels taunted CPF, telling them they had no more friends because they were, in his words, “ugly mugs.”

The heels jumped CPF before the bell, but the tide turned when Ospreay’s music hit to a massive pop. Newman, the current leader of United Empire – the faction Ospreay originally founded in New Japan Pro-Wrestling – stood in Ospreay’s way before agreeing to let him join the fight. Ospreay’s team went on to win when he planted Trew with a Hidden Blade for the pin.

With Newman and Ospreay both still in the ring, Ospreay grabbed a microphone and cut a brief promo, saying he couldn’t pass up the chance to appear on the show. He apologized to Newman for not being around for United Empire and said they would have to work some things out, but noted he was in Newman’s corner the night he won the IWGP title, and said he could use “his little brother” in his corner tomorrow at Wembley.

Newman dropped the mic and appeared ready to walk away, before turning back and embracing Ospreay, setting the stage for what could be a Newman appearance alongside Ospreay at AEW All In.
