[Hour One] Excalibur and Tony Schiavone checked in on commentary from their broadcast table at ringside. They plugged the All In pay-per-view…

Will Ospreay made his entrance and was introduced by ring announcer Arkady Aura. The fans sang Ospreay’s name. He thanked them and said it had been a year since they talked. He said he started his career in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Ospreay talked about showing people that the UK is where the best wrestle. He listed some of the British greats that he learned from and mentioned the names of some British wrestlers who are no longer with us.

Ospreay said AEW World Champion Kenny Omega wasn’t at the show, which drew some boos. He spoke about Omega being the best for a decade, then said all of his respect for Omega disappeared when Omega mentioned his son. Ospreay said there is a debt he needs to pay to his parents, his wife, and his son. “It’s time to bring it home,” Ospreay said.

Powell’s POV: This wasn’t a particularly memorable promo, but it was good to hear the challenger speak confidently going into the AEW World Championship match. It was a good change from last week when he said he liked Nigel McGuinness’s chances of winning more than he liked his own.

Jon Moxley made his entrance through the crowd for the first Continental Cup semifinal match. Claudio Castagnoli did his circle dance with the other Death Riders before making his entrance through the crowd. Renee Paquette spoke briefly about the match from ringside…

1. Jon Moxley vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a Continental Challenge Cup tournament semifinal match. Schiavone noted that there was no time limit for the match. Both wrestlers ended up on the floor, where Moxley applied a Figure Four. Castagnoli came right back with a Giant Swing that sent Moxley into the barricade before a picture-in-picture break. [C]
