WWE wrestler’s appearance backstage at TNA Lockdown confirmed

We got confirmation this afternoon on a story that was reported Sunday night: a WWE wrestler was spending time backstage at TNA’s Lockdown event in Chicago. 

PWInsider had the story first that Bayley was backstage at Lockdown. Monday afternoon, Jada Stone made it official. She shared a photo of herself embracing Bayley at the show.

“My reason,” Stone wrote about Bayley, adding “Thank you.”

This is not the first time Bayley has shown support for Stone in public. In 2024, she was spotted in a Jada Stone at a WWE press event.

Stone made her pro wrestling debut in 2021, and has worked mostly on the indies since then. Early in her career she made scattered appearances in AEW and for Impact Wrestling. She signed with TNA full-time last November. On Impact this Thursday, August 27, she’ll be wrestling M by Elegance in the finals of a tournament to crown the inaugural Knockouts TV Champion. 

Bayley has not wrestled on WWE television since July, when she lost to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event. She has appeared at a couple of house shows since then, losing along with Valkyria in three-ways to Sol Ruca. 

Speculation has swirled for a while now that Bayley’s departure from WWE is imminent.
