AEW to make Paris debut with Grand Slam France

AEW is heading to France for the first time ever with Paris set to host a Grand Slam event this fall.

Ahead of the promotion’s All In pay-per-view in London this weekend, AEW announced that it will expand further into Europe with Grand Slam France taking place at Adidas Arena on Tuesday, October 6. The show will be taped that night and will then air as that week’s episodes of Dynamite and Collision.

Previous editions of AEW Grand Slam have been held in New York City, Australia, and Mexico. Adidas Arena opened in Paris in 2024 with a listed capacity of approximately 8,000 for sports and more for concerts. Tickets for Grand Slam France are going on sale to the general public this Friday (August 28).

Tony Khan praised the wrestling fans in France and said he hopes Paris will continue to host major AEW events in the future.

“There are so many great wrestling fans in France, and a lot of fans from France have made the trek to London to see AEW, and we believe there’s a lot of excitement around All Elite Wrestling in Paris, and it just felt like this would be the perfect time to launch with a huge event,” Khan said.

Sports Business Journal’s article on the announcement also included a quote from Will Ospreay, who spoke highly of the times he wrestled in France in 2019 and 2023.

“I don’t need to watch [the market] because I’ve experienced it before, and I just know the moment that we go over there and the bell goes off, the French fans are going to let us know they want us to keep coming back,” Ospreay said.

Will Ospreay set for AEW World Championship challenge at All In —

Ospreay could be AEW World Champion by the time Grand Slam France takes place. In his home country of England this Sunday (August 30), Ospreay is challenging Kenny Omega for the title at All In 2026. It would be Ospreay’s first AEW World Championship reign if he’s able to get the victory.
