More WWE talent could soon face decisions over their futures, with several main roster contracts reportedly approaching their expiration dates.
The update comes from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, who reported on Thursday that a handful of WWE deals are currently due to expire in October. The news follows reports that Ilja Dragunov has departed the company after his own contract reached its end.
Writing to subscribers on X, Alvarez revealed that the contracts in question involve talent who have largely been absent from WWE television recently.
“There are a few other main roster contracts of people who haven’t been on TV much coming due in October.”
At this stage, Alvarez has not revealed the identities of the WWE Superstars involved, leaving plenty of uncertainty surrounding which members of the roster could potentially be approaching the end of their current agreements.
The timing of the report is particularly notable following the situation involving Dragunov. The former NXT Champion had not competed for WWE since appearing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 17 episode of SmackDown.
Despite his lengthy absence from television, WWE and Dragunov were reportedly engaged in serious negotiations regarding his return as recently as June. Those discussions ultimately did not result in a new agreement before his contract expired.
With October now less than two months away, attention could turn toward other WWE names who have been noticeably missing from television as speculation begins over whose contracts may be approaching their expiration dates.
