The creator of the goalie mask CM Punk wore to the ring on WWE SmackDown has revealed new details about the piece.

Punk’s ring entrance at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto saw him wear an old-school version of a hockey goalie mask. The mask had Punk’s logo on the side and paw prints from Punk’s late dog Larry above the ears.

Special effects artist Jason Baker, who previously designed Bray Wyatt’s mask for The Fiend, posted to social media following SmackDown, writing:

“Best in the world inspired Goalie mask for the Coach @CMPunk created by me. And yes, those are Larry the dog’s actual paw prints on the side. Jacket & gear by @byJolene.”

Punk retained the WWE Championship in the main event of SmackDown by defeating Kevin Owens. The finish of the match saw a referee bump and Sami Zayn interfere, hitting both wrestlers with the WWE Championship before Punk hit Owens with the GTS to get the pin.
