Álvaro Morata Has Signed A Deal Unlike Anything Else In Soccer

TEWA TERRON

Spanish soccer star Álvaro Morata is one of the game’s ultimate competitors, having dawned the iconic jerseys of Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, and of course, Spain when he captained the reigning World Cup champions to the UEFA Euro 2024 title, ultimately lifting the trophy.

Now, Morata, currently with Serie A club Como, is joining something different. Morata has been announced as the first global brand ambassador with TEWA MOTO, a Delaware-headquartered premium new energy power sports company building high-performance machines for off-road and recreational use.

The deal is a long-form global partnership with TEWA MOTO, also known as TeraWatt, marking a notable crossover between elite football and the growing electric motorsport segment, with more and more athletes aligning with performance brands operating outside traditional sports.

For Morata, the proposed partnership was a natural one.

“I’ve always been drawn to speed, precision, and pushing limits — on and off the pitch. TEWA MOTO shares that same drive. Their vision for green energy power sports is bold, and I’m proud to be part of a brand building the future of outdoor performance — cleaner, faster, and without compromise.” — Álvaro Morata, Global Brand Ambassador, TEWA MOTO

Morata will front the brand across its international markets as it expands into what it describes as green energy power sports: electric vehicles engineered for the kind of competitive, high-output performance that has historically belonged to combustion engines.

Historically, commercial alignments in soccer have largely remained within a predictable orbit: boots and apparel, watches, grooming, and betting.

This endorsement represents a step towards a changing landscape, with players beginning to attach themselves to product companies, such as brands with factories, roadmaps and engineering problems rather than campaigns. It may seem unusual at first, but it’s a shift that makes sense from both sides.

Elite footballers now carry significant global audiences. Morata, for example, has played extensively in Spain, England, and Italy, while also enjoying a stint in Turkey. He has deep familiarity in those places, which is an unusually wide footprint for a single athlete, and that’s exactly the kind of cross-market reach a global brand like TEWA MOTO hopes to achieve.

The two worlds also aren’t foreign to one another. There’s actually a genuine overlap between soccer and motorsport, with shared audiences, shared vocabularies and shared obsessions, like lap times and sprint speeds, marginal gains, and pushing beyond our limits. A brand selling performance aligning with an elite-performance athlete only makes sense.

And that appears to be the case from TEWA MOTO’s side.

“Álvaro Morata embodies the intensity and relentless pursuit of excellence that define TEWA MOTO. We are building a premium outdoor lifestyle brand powered by cutting-edge electric technology. Whether on the pitch or on the trail, the drive to push boundaries is the same.” — Wayne, COO, TEWA MOTO

The M3 PRO

In case you are wondering what the bike Morata is featured on in our hero image, it is the M3 PRO: TEWA MOTO’s debut product, with the model on sale through authorized dealers in selected regions.

It is an electric dirt bike built to competition-grade specification, with no emissions, torque delivered instantly from a standstill, and near-silent operation that changes both where it can realistically be ridden and how it feels to ride. Multiple selectable modes mean the same machine can be dialled down for a first-timer or opened up for someone who knows what they are doing.

What’s Coming In 2027

The M3 PRO is just the start. Two flagship launches are confirmed for early 2027:

  • TEWA HydraX — a pure electric Personal Watercraft producing over 200 horsepower.
  • TEWA TERRON — an electric Side-by-Side UTV producing over 300 horsepower.

Additionally, an All-Terrain Vehicle line is also in development, giving TEWA MOTO a lineup spanning dirt, trail and water. It’s why Morata’s signing is the perfect timing: a brand about to move from one product to four needs recognition before the products land, not after.

Morata has spent his career being incredibly useful and valuable in unfamiliar environments. Fronting an electric power sports brand as its first global ambassador is, in that sense, entirely in character.
