Lola Vice Bids Farewell To AAA

Lola Vice says her goodbyes.

After Lola Vice fell in defeat to Kendal Grey in an Underground Match for the NXT Women’s Championship, she said her goodbyes to the crowd at the Performance Center and left the crowd’s view alongside her significant other, Damian Priest.

Vice was in action at AAA’s Verano de Escándalo, where she and Mr. Iguana dropped the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles.

A post-match interview with Vice and Iguana was conducted by Andrea Bazarte. Vice spoke about her journey through AAA (translation via Fightful’s Luis Pulido).

“I remember when they mentioned to me that I was going to come to AAA. At first it was, ‘It will only be three weeks, maybe just a match.’ I came here and fell in love with Mexico; I fell in love with AAA, but much more. I had never fought outside of NXT or WWE. This here taught me to appreciate where I was, appreciate the wrestlers in Mexico, how hard they work, and have the courage and motivation to develop my career because, the truth is, I want to be the best in the world. I knew that coming to Mexico was the only way I could regain my confidence and develop as a wrestler. Here in Mexico, I met Mr. Iguana, and many people who helped me a lot, who taught me a lot, and I was able to take all that to NXT. I won the NXT Championship, I worked here and in NXT full-time for a year, and I really appreciate the way people cheered for me because there was a point that I didn’t believe in myself and they gave me the encouragement to move forward. I believe I was born for this and I want to represent my culture, my family, Latinos, and my uncle who arrived in the country with nothing.”

Vice thanked Mr. Iguana and proceeded to bid farewell to AAA. She said she’ll come back a bigger star.

“The best thing I take are the memories, being in the ring with Mr. Iguana, watching him enjoy the moment. That taught me to enjoy what I’m doing, not to get so nervous and have fun at the moment. All that helped me to be the wrestler I am today. I will be back one day as a bigger star, but I will never forget AAA and the Mexicans. Thank you for trusting me, and me and Mr. Iguana will always be together. Don’t mess with (La) Hiedra while I’m gone,” she laughed.

There have been a number of occasions when Vice has stated that she feels she’s ready for a call-up to WWE’s main roster.
