WWE Raw’s Huge Make or Break Moment

There is no bigger star in WWE than Roman Reigns. Even when the Original Tribal Chief isn’t live on Raw, the show still revolves around him thanks to what’s going on with the Bloodline. In recent weeks and months, the group has hovered between babyfaces and heels. They can fight with Jacob Fatu or LA Knight and still the crowd will cheer when the group makes their entrance. Now they’re in a storyline with Solo Sikoa, who has gone from a dull bad guy to one of the funniest and most charismatic good guys on the roster. On this week’s WWE Raw, a loss led to what will be a huge moment. What happens between Solo and Roman, and the Bloodline as a group, will make or break everyone involved.

A Loss to Jey Uso on Raw Will Bring Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns

• Sikoa was boring as Roman Reigns’ silent enforcer in the Bloodline.
• He was a dull stereotype of a heel as the leader of the MFTs.
• With his charisma and sense of humor, he’s a natural babyface.

For the last few years, Solo Sikoa has been badly booked in WWE. Behind the scenes, he has so much personality, but despite impressing in NXT, when he showed up on the main roster, it was to stand in the background and be Roman Reigns’ silent enforcer in the Bloodline. When that came to an end, Sikoa spoke more, yet he stayed a stone-faced bad guy stuck in the usual heel stereotypes.

In the last days of the MFTs, Solo was finally allowed to show more personality, with more energy behind his words and his one-of-a-kind facial expressions. It makes him a natural babyface, and he’s now starting to get over with the crowd. Sikoa is currently in a feud with the Bloodline and his real life brothers, Jey and Jimmy Uso. On the August 10 Raw, Solo and Jey main evented, with the stipulation being that if Sikoa lost, then he would be “delivered to the Tribal Chief.” In the end, with help from Jimmy Uso, Jey was victorious. Sikoa had hoped to escape his family for good. Instead, he’ll be taken to their leader.

How Will Solo Sikoa Respond to the Original Tribal Chief?

• Jacob Fatu’s singles babyface run was ruined by rejoining the Bloodline.
• Sikoa could be the Sami Zayn type in the group.
• He could also stand up to the Tribal Chief and refuse to join his family.

There are two options for what happens next. Just because Solo Sikoa is being delivered to the OTC doesn’t mean he’s now back in the Bloodline. This isn’t an acknowledgment ceremony. WWE must be careful. They’ve already ruined Jacob Fatu, taking him from a lone wolf singles star badass babyface to just another guy in a stale group. If they do the exact same with Solo Sikoa, he might not recover. Of course, Sikoa could join his family, becoming a hilarious Sami Zayn type, and eventually taking down the group from within.

The other option for Sikoa is to stand his ground and refuse to join the Bloodine. Imagine the promo between a babyface, fully realized Solo and Roman Reigns. That’s money right there. So is a match if Sikoa tells Roman no before verbally tearing him down. It means Sikoa would get beaten in the ring by his family, hopefully then saved by LA Knight and perhaps a returning Royce Keys. It would also mean that WWE truly sees what Sikoa is capable of as he is now.

The WWE Audience Needs To Make a Choice Between Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline

• The crowd doesn’t trust that Sikoa is a true babyface just yet.
• Solo can only get the full support of fans if he stands up to Roman Reigns.
• The crowd must stop cheering for the Bloodline, who are now heels and not tweeners.

The crowd is starting to support Solo Sikoa. The cheers aren’t off the chart levels yet, but they’re getting bigger. Perhaps the only thing holding the WWE Universe back is that they don’t trust him. We’ve been burned before, so why support a wrestler who’s just going to turn bad again? WWE’s predictable booking has trained fans not to get too invested. But if Solo stands up to Roman, fans can finally trust the process and get behind Sikoa fully.

Fans must also decide what to do about the Bloodline. They no longer act like tweeners. The group has laid out LA Knight multiple times. Jacob Fatu hurt Royce Keyes so badly that he was put on a stretcher. Still, when the Bloodline’s music hits, nostalgia takes over, and we can’t help ourselves, cheering because we love the people behind the characters. Last night’s Raw was a perfect example. Why in the world is Jey Uso coming out to his energetic babyface entrance, and why are fans cheering, yeeting, and doing the arm wave? Jey Uso is a bad guy. WWE must fully present him as such, along with the rest of the group.

Roman can’t respect Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, then support what his family does. They must find a way to get the crowd to boo them weekly. The next Raw with Roman Reigns can get the storyline there. If WWE can do this and turn Solo Sikoa into a beloved main eventer, they have something intriguing. If Solo simply joins the Bloodline, and they continue to get cheered no matter what they do, it’s more of the same.
