Who Fans Have To Thank For WWE’s Emotional Pac Tribute Package

Tributes for Benjamin Satterley, Pac in AEW and Neville before that in WWE, keep pouring in. Pac passed away suddenly at the age of just 40 a little over a week and a half ago, and the latest to honor the late wrestler and pay their respects are those he was close to who are still under contract with WWE.

Kevin Owens Made WWE’s Pac Tribute Video Happen

WWE paid its respects to Pac in the form of a graphic, but it seems some in the company wanted to take that a big step further. Specifically, Kevin Owens. There’s now a video featuring several Superstars speaking about Pac and what he meant to them on WWE’s YouTube channel, and it seems we have KO to thank for that video existing.

The video is almost 40 minutes long and includes Becky Lynch, Sami Zayn, Bayley, William Regal, and quite a few more who were friends with Pac. Cody Rhodes is in there too, and it’s something The American Nightmare said during an interview with WrestleTalk that went live before KO’s video went up that revealed Owens was the one who made this happen.

KO Gave Everyone In WWE The Chance To Honor Pac

“I want to share something that was really nice, and I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing, but Kevin Owens, at the most recent TV, and I hope you get to see these, maybe they’ll just be for the family, but he had a camera set-up for all of us to go speak to if we wanted to speak about Ben,” Rhodes revealed (HT to Cageside Seats for the transcription).

As is demonstrated by KO’s lengthy opening to the video, he and Pac were close, even though they’ve been wrestling in different promotions for the last few years. Owens also mentioned Andy Williams, better known as The Butcher, who passed away days before Pac. Some of Williams’ friends were at a memorial for the wrestler when they received the news that Pac had passed away.

The combination of The Butcher and Pac both passing away at such a young age and so close together has not only shaken the wrestling world, but particularly AEW, and even more so those who were close with one or both of the late wrestlers. Pac’s cause of death remains unclear. The British star was found unresponsive in his car less than 24 hours after competing at All Out. The latest details, revealed via a police report, note that he was on his way to the airport where he was supposed to fly home to the UK.
