After the first night of TripleMania 34 featured Omos’ destruction of Rey Mysterio, Roxanne Perez becoming the new number one contender for the Reinas De Reinas Title, and new AAA Trios Champions being crowned, AAA’s second night of TripleMania 34 sought to deliver even more big moments, most in part with a high profile main event between WWE’s Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.

TheSportster’s rating system will take a look across the entire TripleMania 34 Night Two card to determine the best match of the show, the weakest showcase on the card, and how everything else stacked up in between.

El Carnicero Vs. Psycho Clown (Street Fight)

Overall Rating From TheSportster: 6/10

This Street Fight between two heated enemies started off hot, as brawling began during entrances. The bout featured kendo sticks, chairs, trash cans, a Slim Jim sponsored table, and more, but nothing outside the realms of your average, plain, and generic WWE Street Fight. Carnicero dominated much of the contest, until Pagano returned to save his ally… only to betray Psycho Clown and leave him victim to an attack with a tool box, handing the monster the victory.

The crowd was into the action but it was nothing special, dragging despite its low match time and ending with a result that did no favors in spotlighting La Carnicero.

War Raiders Vs. The Wagner Brothers (AAA World Tag Team Championships)

On the back of their successful defense over Damian Priest & R-Truth on SmackDown, The War Raiders put their AAA World Tag Team Titles on the line against The Wagner Brothers at TripleMania 34 in an open challenge. The two teams only got five minutes to work with, though those involved managed to create an enjoyable sprint despite a lack of storytelling or structure.

The win for El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno was a nice moment, though it was unfortunately in a rushed bout.

Copa Bardahl Cibernetico

AAA’s answer to WWE’s Royal Rumble saw an enjoyable iteration of the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico match, featuring a whole host of names such as Mr. Iguana, the return of Nino Hamburguesa, Taurus, La Parka, and many more, offering a match that did drag a lot but also featured some decent moments here and there.

The first half of the match was certainly better than the second, as Omos’ arrival slowed things down as he destroyed the field, going on to win this matchup for the second time running.

Flammer Vs. La Catalina (AAA Reinas De Reinas Championship)

Overall Rating From TheSportster: 7.75/10

Flammer and La Catalina only had ten minutes to work with in their Reinas De Reinas Championship bout, but they attempted to fill it with plenty of quality. It was physical, hard-hitting, and generated a decent “big fight feel” as they displayed very natural chemistry with one another. Flammer put in a terrific veteran performance as she dominated her opponent, requiring Catalina to work from below, rally with the crowd behind her, and find a lot of heart and soul to overcome the dominance of the champion.

Given that this match brought to an end a multi-year reign, it certainly was not long enough nor did it generate the levels of excitement that it should have done. It was still a decent showcase but nothing memorable. Catalina nailed a Busaiku Knee to shock the world and win the gold, setting up a future match with number one contender Roxanne Perez.

Dominik Mysterio Vs. El Grande Americano (AAA Mega Championship, No DQ)

The main event of TripleMania 34 Night Two was intended to be an epic (similar to the Noche De Los Grandes headliner) which crowned El Grande Americano as the face of AAA. Instead, the match was a WWE-ified, overbooked bout that was nothing more than just serviceable. Both men put in a solid performance, with Americano in particular putting his body through a lot of punishment to elevate the action (and they were helped out by a hot crowd too). Mysterio dominated the middle portion with belt whips and steel chairs before Americano fired up and hit back.

Expectedly, the match featured interference from JD McDonagh, Los Americanos, Omos, Liv Morgan, and more, with Americano overcoming all sorts of shenanigans (which admittedly got a little overdone). In the end, an Americano headbutt scored the win after Rey Mysterio ran down to make the three count due to the referee being taken out.

Rey Fenix Vs. Mini Vikingo Vs. Jack Cartwheel (AAA Cruiserweight Championship)

After his impressive championship defenses on Friday Night SmackDown, Rey Fenix sought to continue his reign of the AAA Cruiserweight Title against Jack Cartwheel, Nathan Frazer, and Mini Vikingo at TripleMania 34 Night Two, offering up the match of the night in the process. This was insane from start to finish, with these four athletic stars putting on an all-out spotfest full of wild sequences, fast-paced offense, lucha libre excellence, and unique moments.

All four men got a chance to shine in this thrilling contest, keeping the audience electric throughout the entirety of proceedings. Did the matchup lack psychology? Sure. But that didn’t impact the enjoyment factor in any way. The near-falls in the latter stages were wild, sending the crowd into more and more of a frenzy, but in the end it was a last-ditch Mexican Muscle Buster on Mini Vikingo to secure a successful defense for Fenix.
