A Soon To Be WWE Free Agent Is Ready for a Big Change

Even if they’re not always booked the best, no fan can say that WWE doesn’t have a talented women’s roster. Over on the Raw side, there are the likes of Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, Becky Lynch, and Iyo Sky, while SmackDown is highlighted by Chelsea Green, Jade Cargill, and Tiffany Stratton. Then there are those who have so much talent but are underutilized. Fans are upset that Triple H is doing so little with Jordynne Grace and Giulia. Another woman who has so much talent but doesn’t get used is Ivy Nile. If you’re a casual fan, you can’t be blamed if you don’t even remember that she exists. This could be about to change though. If reports are to be believed, Ivy Nile’s time has arrived.

Ivy Nile Has Spent Her WWE Career With Diamond Mine and the Creed Brothers

• Nile was the first female winner of Titan Games.
• She signed with NXT in 2020.
• She has been used in tag teams and lost a big singles match against Rhea Ripley.

Before professional wrestling, Ivy Nile made her name on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Titan Games TV show, where she was the first female winner. Nile impressed as a very gifted athlete, with a background which includes a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu. With that kind of ability, what wrestling company wouldn’t jump at the chance to sign her? In 2020, WWE did just that, leading to a run in NXT. Although she had matches and showed what she could do in the ring, Nile was often a part of the background in the Diamond Mine faction.

It was the same thing when Nile moved up to Raw. There, she became a manager of sorts for the Creed Brothers, wrestling here and there in tag team matches, before she made her singles debut against Rhea Ripley in a losing effort. It’s been downhill for Nile ever since. Despite her unique talent and appearance, it has been many months since she last had a match on Raw. Such a stat could leave a fan concerned that Nile might be part of the next round of releases. However, if a new report is accurate, her wrestling career is about to change for the better.

After Being Absent From Raw for Months, Ivy Nile Could Be Getting a Push

• American Made recently competed in AAA and just returned to NXT.
• Ivy Nile hasn’t had a match on Raw in many months.
• Fightful Select reported that her contract expires in the fall.

The Creed Brothers, known as American Made, impressed in their early Raw run, before disappearing and ending up in AAA until a recent NXT return. Ivy Nile wasn’t with them. That could be because she’s about to leave WWE, or her career with the company is about to take off in a huge way.

According to Fightful Select:

“Sean Ross Sapp spoke with creative sources within WWE that claimed that there have been plans for Ivy Nile being developed for quite a while that would see a big change for her. However, there were some other notes of interest.

“Sources indicated to Fightful that Ivy Nile’s WWE contract is set to expire this fall. We’ve not learned if a new deal has been reached or even offered. However, there were creative plans for her being discussed in recent months that would indicate WWE would want to retain her.”

Ivy Nile Is a Unique Talent in WWE’s Women’s Division

• Nile should have been given a push a long time ago.
• She is small, but her MMA background makes her intimidating.
• The WWE women’s division needs to be shaken up with new stars.

To hear that WWE is developing plans for a big Ivy Nile change is a bit surprising. What are they waiting for? She should have been pushed years ago. In WWE, though, pushes come and go, and underused talent are often left waiting in the wings and hoping their time will come. Now needs to be the time for Ivy.

Nile has a phenomenal character when she’s allowed to. At just 5’3″, she comes across as kind and soft-spoken in interviews. But when her facial features go rigid, Nile’s short stature disappears and she becomes terrifying. Nile will probably never be one of the best talkers on the mic. She doesn’t need to be. Ivy brings the aura of her real life background. She is a physical specimen of lean muscle, and with an MMA background that means she could beat up anyone on the women’s roster, and probably many on the men’s as well. In a time of cookie-cutter gimmicks, Nile stands out as someone different. She could just as easily be a scary heel as she could be a babyface easy to love as she fights to overcome the odds.

WWE is trying to shake things up after a substandard SummerSlam season. Raw and SmackDown are getting better on the men’s side of things. The women need to be heavily invested in as well. This means creating new stars and letting them see how far they can go. WWE must offer Nile a deal and push her with this “big change.” She has the skills to make a substantial dent in a division in need of fresh energy. If she re-signs with WWE, everyone get out of Ivy Nile’s way.
