On the back of a noteworthy and historic All In: London 2026 PPV, AEW headed to the Credit Union Of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas for the September 2 edition of AEW Dynamite. The show featured all the fallout from the big show, the first AEW World Trios Title defense from Swerve Strickland and the debuting New Level, and a TNT Championship match between Darby Allin and Mark Davis, plus more!

TheSportster’s rating system will take a look across the latest episode of AEW Dynamite to determine the best match on the card, the weakest of the night, and how everything else stacked up in between.

Jon Moxley Vs. AR Fox (AEW Continental Championship Eliminator)

Overall Rating From TheSportster: 6.25/10

Jon Moxley’s Continental Title reign has been ongoing for the entirety of 2026 thus far, and his dominant spell looked to continue on Dynamite as he took on AR Fox in an eliminator match. Without any real story heading in, this match needed to rely purely on in-ring work, which was pretty solid throughout, but it never fully clicked into anything better than just “okay”.

Moxley brought physicality, Fox brought some of his unique and flashy offense, but it was too inconsequential and meaningless to deliver. After several submission attempts, strikes, and exchanges, a quick Death Rider gave Moxley an expected victory.

Megan Bayne Vs. Alex Windsor

Overall Rating From TheSportster: 7.5/10

Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter defeated Megan Bayne & Lena Kross at All In, but their bad blood was not over as Bayne & Windsor battled in singles action on Dynamite. The match had a steady start, with clubbing blows traded between the pair until Bayne slowed things down for a dominant spell.

Windsor fought from below to try and take down the larger competitor, leading to a hard-hitting back-and-forth contest which got better as it continued. Hayter & Kross ended up brawling at ringside, allowing Bayne to hit Windsor with a title belt, allowing her to dish out a powerbomb for a cheap victory.

Darby Allin Vs. Mark Davis (TNT Championship)

Darby Allin reclaimed the TNT Championship for a record fourth time at AEW All In: London 2026, and his first open challenge defense saw him matched up with a member of the Don Callis Family (a group he’s been feuding with since Kevin Knight turned heel against him and joined the group), Mark Davis. Allin’s entrance was cut short as Davis came out of nowhere to attack him, beating Allin down ringside and into the crowd until Allin dived from a platform in the stands to take him out. The match officially began when the two came back to the ring, with the action already having a hot atmosphere.

Davis dominated for the next few minutes, with Allin playing his typical “underdog fighting from below” role. Allin managed to get himself into the match with some vicious slaps, clawing at the eyes, and using his body as a weapon, but Davis’ dominance continued to reign supreme. After some chaos on the outside, Allin nailed a Coffin Drop just as Davis rolled back into the wing, stealing a win from the jaws of defeat.

United Empire Vs. The Demand & The Dogs

It was multi-man mayhem in the main event of AEW Dynamite as new AEW World Champion Will Ospreay teamed with United Empire (including Andrade El Idolo) to take on The Dogs & The Demand. This bout had a chaotic opening few minutes with everyone getting involved, a whole bunch of massive dives to the outside, and wild brawling, all leading to the heels taking control and slowing things down in their attacks on Francesco Akira.

Callum Newman eventually came in for a hot tag, displaying some great speed and intensity, with the likes of HENARE, Akira, Andrade, and Ospreay all getting moments to shine too. The action continued to heat up with a great exchange between Ospreay & Ricochet, plus a crowd who got louder as things continued. Everyone in the matches hit some big moves in the latter moments until a huge Andrade elbow and Ospreay Hidden Blade on Clark Connors secured the win.

Swerve Strickland & New Level Vs. The Rascalz (AEW World Trios Championships)

Kofi & Austin Creed of the New Level debuted at All In: London 2026, teaming with Swerve Strickland to win the AEW World Trios Championships. Their first defense came on AEW Dynamite, taking on The Rascalz. The energy of this match was off the scale, with a red hot crowd loving what they were seeing, with Creed & Kofi clearly having the time of their lives in the ring. The in-ring work was smooth, fast-paced, and impressive, with the opening few minutes and latter few minutes especially hitting all the high points.

Both teams had periods of momentum and control, with The Rascalz slowing things down by attacking Creed, all leading up to the crowd-popping hot tag for Kofi. Everyone got involved in a chaotic final few moments, with some insane combination moves, near-falls, and more. Strickland caught Dezmond Xavier with a mid-air House Call, leading to a New Level double team move and second House Call to seal the deal in an incredible match.
