TNA World title match announced for Bound for Glory 2026
The World title match for Bound for Glory has already been announced.
After winning the TNA Tag Team titles with his brother Ryan on Sunday, Nic Nemeth was celebrating when Leon Slater interrupted, carrying the X Division title he won earlier in the night. He announced that at Bound for Glory, he was exercising option C and challenging for Nemeth’s title on October 11 in Tampa, Florida.
Nemeth didn’t like hearing this and immediately went in on the attack. Slater overcame both Nemeth brothers, however, dropping them to end the show.
Earlier in the night, Slater faced Cedric Alexander in a match where if he lost, his previous reign as X Division Champion would be erased from the record books, meaning his record for being the youngest champion would have reverted back to Amazing Red.
The ‘option C’ choice for X Division champions dates back to 2012, when Austin Aries willingly vacated the title in order to challenge for the World Championship, which he ultimately won.
